hero folds preflop.

Why are you betting the river? As a bluff? Cause you aren't getting a straight to fold, and are not getting value by any hand i beat imo.

i bet the River for value, i like a busted FlushDraw so much here

Hi,

it's a fold preflop cause your hand plays terribly when it doesn't hit a set or nfd. Also the set will not be the nuts a lot of the times.

The 2 hands are totally different. In the other one you had initiative and was the agressor. Here you check called twice. At these stakes, noone is turning a missed draw into a bluff otr, so people will expect you to have something. The proble is that you have a very weak hand, to weak to value bet. Every straight will still call, as will every fh. Villain potted the turn, so that's a made hand very often. I just don't see the value.

Theres exactly one reason not to play this hand: position!

Let me try to clarify that:

Your hand ranks around 52 of 100 hands:

Your hand will flop not that great on most flops:

So on half the flops you wont have 50% Equity.
This means, you need to get more money when you flop really strong, which is happening in maximal 10% of the time (see the graph).

How do you get much value OOP?
Even if you hit your set or the NF, its tough to get value. And not all boards are great to realize your equity. What do you do on a JT9ss Flop where you have the bare set?
Do you expect to often get much value if you hit your NF? What if the board pairs?

You will get the experience that its extremly tough to get much value from your strong hands.
You will often win a small pot or lose a big pot.
