I found myself making huge mistakes against randoms at the bubble, cause i stick too much to ICM eqiulibrium ranges.
so here's a theoretical example relating to this post:
general assumptions fish at STT SNG post.
bubble of a $30 STT post ante.
9-6-6-12 big blinds.
In equilibrium the CO can shove around 43%. If we slightly open up the calling ranges by adding only a couple of hands, really marginal, our shovingrange becomes only 9%.
I've seen even the best winning reg at the $30s making too lose calls in any position at these kinda setups, so I imagine 43% is way too loose anyways. I mostly stick around like 30-35% here facing regs.
But I've also noticed some horribly wide calls from recreational players in these situations. So my actual question here is;
What would be the most accurate range to shove vs randoms here?
I know its very hard to answer this, because of very different random styles, but maybe one of you has created some guidelines against the 'random'.
