Hello. I started playing online poker last month as I have some free time, no prizes for guessing why these days!

I'm based in London and I did play a MTT in a live casino a long time ago for fun. I thought I would brush up my strategy and do some online learning, which brought me here.

Hi Lukron
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com :welcome:

Be sure to check out the free money offers and bonus offers.
Read the instructions carefully -- they usually apply to rooms where you don't already have an account.

What kind of games do you plan to play?
Cash Games? Sit-and-Go? MTTs?
Would you just play Hold'em or would you play other variants?

If you're totally new to poker, I recommend reading our No Limit Hold'em lessons overview articles first.
That article leads you through the basics and beyond.
It is even recommended if you've played a while _biggrin:

If you have any questions, just post them in the Q&A forum.

All the best,
VS

Just hold 'em. I am playing cash games and Spin and Gos' - micro-limits. I also play the free-roll MTTs that sites offer.

My main learning is preflop strategy differences between Spins and cash games at the moment.

Hello to everyone! I have became interested in playing poker three or four years ago. And I liked playing more at PokerStar, but something recently I have not been able to connect to this site and had to go to another place , where there are "Mini-games" and poker among them.

But I would like to immediately note that patience is very important in this game. Sometimes combinations of small cards fall one after another, it bothers and the player breaks down, making a bet. But it's worth a little wait, and a good card will not go anywhere - it will come. Do you know the hussar proverb from Preference? "The map is not a horse - it will be lucky in the morning." So, in my opinion, it is even more suitable for playing poker.

Only with patience, you can achieve some meaningful result. When he is not there, everything collected by excessive labor collected is squandered in a few minutes. So I had such situation more than once;)
