BB defend chart

Hi folks :f_drink:

I feel one of my weaknesses in my game is playing from the blinds.. :f_rolleyes: Usually I feel like the safe thing is to fold or play passive when OOP. I was wondering if there's something like a BB defend chart te help with decisions preflop. Are there any good articles on how to play these hands? It's hard to find good info on this topic apart from playing very tight and fold when you miss.

Hoping to find some good advice here.

Hey, i think it is hard to find because there is a lot to factor in when it comes to blind defense.
If you are a beginner you should probably stick to the charts provided by the beginners course.

If you want to get more into the topic, you should look at the steal frequencys on your Limit and Site
and try to figure how much you want to defend from the blinds

Hi FriskyArt
JnB90's advice is quite good.
There are also some gold articles on constructing hand ranges that specifically talk about the blinds

I'm not sure where you play, or whether you get strategy points from those sites, but if not, you may wish to take part in some of the strategy point promotions.
Go to https://www.pokerstrategy.com/promotions/ and scroll to the bottom to find out more.

Best Regards,

I will look further into it. I think i've read those articles in the past when i had gold status when playing poker was much easier. Noob question: where can I find the steal frequencies?

Hold em manager or poker tracker filters, if you don’t have either definitely worth the investment if your serious about learning to play
