Anyone kind enough, who would give a decend sample of hands to Corey to analyze them?

what limit?
Hey corey I think there is somewhere an error in your calculations. Maybe there isn't but this according to my stats.
I play FL $2/4. September fresh start.
10 042 hands - rake $ 1575. And thats 23 500 TitanPoints. (fact)
For the $800 cash bonus I need to reach to to ~37 000 TitanPoker + the boost = 80 000
So I need 14k points more so that's like 14k/23.5k = 0.59; $1575 * 0.59 = $930
Sum: I need to rake $2500 for a $800 cash bonus = 32% rakeback
and considering that they are both from ipoker network it's even better play at titan.
nice post Corey ♠_thumbsup:

HEM. Why? Does it make any difference?
As Mansion apparently canceled double points days, I think about moving to Titan next month :/
Do you have any idea how to postpone that 1 year deadline to spend the points??
// only 3 PS points for $1 rake may be big disadvantage after all ^^

Yeah, it does... But let's go from the beginning
1. I love math, calculations, numbers, statistics, etc... And that's why I really hate it (or love it), when people are questioning my calculations ♦
(doesn't mean I couldn't be wrong of course)
2. Why do you think I was wrong anyway? I never calculated "rakeback" for FL SH 2/4? Only for 0.5/1 and 1/2. And higher limit doesn't necessarily mean higher rakeback.
3. HEM doesn't calculate "personal rake" correct. Don't know why, but if you do not believe me, you can google it
4. According to your info, rake would be 3,92BB/100, which is WAY too much.
Actual rake is around 3,25BB/100 (sample size 15k hands). I have bigger sample size atm, but don't have time and energy to check it out
5. So if I make a quick calculation for 2/4...
FL SH 2/4
14757 hands1915,41$ rake
3,25 BB/100 rake paid15k hands
79900 Titan points
1950$ rake
= 800$ cash bonus
= 41% rakeback
6. Titan >>>>>> Mansion
7. My calculations are CORRECT
Hey for a moment you had me there ♦ but then....
I counted up my rake for yesterday 3rd September and it came $718.55 * 3 = 2155.65 PokerStrategy Points.
Next thing I do is checking my StrategyPoints on pokerstrategy.com and guess how many points I had for 3rd September? 2153 SP
How about you try again ♠_cool:
Eh, Zivko, Zivko... You really disappointed me here ♦
(joke)
The number you are seeing in HM is called "dealt rake". The way its calculated: Rake at the end of the pot / numbers of players.
So for example you are playing FL SH.
There are 6 players, you have 72o and fold preflop. Hand goes to showdown where someone wins a pot of 25$ and 2$ is taken from pot as a rake.
Because HM uses dealt rake method, 2$ is divided by 6 = 0.33$ and that number is added to your "rake column" in HM.
But hey... Why would 0.33$ be added to your rake if you actually paid... NONE.
And that guy who won that pot gets also 0.33$ added, but he paid 2$. NONSENSE I would say at least.
Because this is not the same as "personal rake". Personal rake is the actual rake you pay. This is the number that actually gets stolen from you by poker site!
So... That player above should get 2$ added to his rake and not 0.33$. And this is the number that really matters. You compare sites according to personal rake, not dealt rake.
Dealt rake is always much bigger than actual paid personal rake, mainly because we are TAG players.
Still not convinced, right? I still "don't have you there", right?
WTF, rake in HM = strategy points?
StrategyPoints, Titan Points, Mansion Club Points, Merit Points, what ever points there are, are using dealt rake method
And that's the whole story
And where can you get actual personal rake?
From Elephant and Poker Office.
Probably from Poker Tracker too, but I've never used it so can't tell you for sure
HM developers said they will implant actual personal rake in their software... But that was in 2008 ♦
7. My calculations are CORRECT

PT3 shows both: personal rake and MGR in General tab
so in this situation, rake bla bla bla, it's better to see at elephant than at HM?
i was planning to buy HM or PT3, at the portuguese community 99% uses HM...
99% of time I'm using HM and am fully satisfied.
Other 1% is Elephant and only for reading Personal Rake
Thanks for the enlightenment. ♦
Edit: btw do you know if there are FL tables at Cake Poker?
