I'm not really a stud expert.
Let me correct that -- I'm a stud noob.

I never let my lack of knowledge stop me from giving my opinion, though.

In this case your open raise is well justified.
The A showing is a blocker to trips, but if he is looking for more Aces, he isn't likely to find them..

I would be a bit worried about the guy showing two 6s, but he's all in already, and there isn't much out there looking like a straight or flush.

Let's face it -- you are 2nd shortest stack at this table.
If you're waiting for something better that AAQQx you're a dreamer.

Cheers,

It's stud8, not stud, and he has no low potential, so he's probably getting freerolled by the other two. :f_frown:

is it correct in a tournament to jam 5th here and hope for half or should i cut my losses and look for a better spot?

obviously none of these villains were likely to fold, stud8 players being as they are... i can't remember exactly but the bubble was a few hundred players away.

And you can't do that too. On 4th I hope you were waiting for c/r opportunity, cause you can't just let them get free cards when you have made hand. There's no way that Seat5 has a wheel draw on 4th based on that he played two streets and that's why 4th with no bets was a bad situation for your aces.

On 5th you gotta go hard with your hand cause when they didn't want to fold, even with a chopped pot you would get a double up. Seat5 got probably made a nice low on 5th and do what he should do in a massive 5-way pot.

Man, you're short stacked and got aces on 3rd - you gotta go with it or let it go, and when you can't let it go - go with it ;)

I'm going to print that large and post it on my wall.

I've been looking for a decent replacement for "Don't Panic"
