Sorry, one more question ![]()
Somehow I cannot figure out how to save the group coloring of a certain hand range.
I'd like to be able to save it to make the Predefined hand ranges tab display group coloring.

It seems like this feature is for absolute experts only![]()
Hi adasko99,
playability profiles are not for experts only, but this is a feature for ... lets say "advanced users".
Playbility profiles are divided into two groups.
- By Equity offset: Equityoffset is an offset to the real equity, e. g. +3.5 for AA: If your equity is 60%, this value is added, so the result is 63.5%.
- By Percentage of realisation: Percentage of realisation is an factor, e. g. 115% for AA: If your equity is 60%, this value is multiplied, so the reault is 69%.Feel free to define your own offsets and realisation factors. This depends on your own playing style ... somebody overplays his Aces an realise only 90% of is true equity, another one is a "smart aces player" who realises 125% of his true equity.

Hi adasko99,
... hope that i understand you right.
It's very easy to define your own colored groups. Here is a brief sample:
1. Define a parent range:

2. Define subgroup 1:

3. Define subgroup 2 with group 1 as its parent:

4. Save this grouped range:

5. This range will appear in the tree with it's group colors.

6. Now, you can change the color for every single group (litte color button or right click on the group button):

7. If you save this range (overwrite the existing), the new color will be displayed in the tree:

8. Another way tho change the colors of groups is to assign a whole color grouping theme to a range:

hope this helps.

This is exactly what I don't understand
How do I find out how many % of equity I realise? Is it in my tracker statistics?
Two more questions if that's ok:
- How to backup and then load all of my saved ranges including sub-ranges? Preferably all at once ![]()
- Are there any PokerStrategy software promotions applied to buying PowerEquilab?
Like a status upgrade or something?

1st: Simply export them ![]()
You can export all at once:

or only selected ranges:

... and then 2nd: Simply import them.

This is not my part, but i will contact PS.best regards, Power-Equilab support team
I used that export method to export all of my ranges but it said: "0 ranges saved to..." , so i thought this is a wrong way of doing it.
But then when i manually tick all of the boxes of all of my ranges to be exported, then it works fine i think ♦
Thanks ♦
What are the differences between Range vs Range, Hand vs Range and Hand vs Hand in the graph window, and how can you use the different outputs?
Hey ,really enjoying using Power Equilab.
I have a question. I am an MTT player doing same range construction work. I assume that the Playability editor adjusts equities based on 100bb stacks ? Is there a way of adjusting to reflect different equity realisation at different stacks? Ideally there would be a series of equity realisation tables based on stack size. If there is no way of adjusting to reflect different realisation at different stacks that would be a really good future enhancement to Power Equilab (especially for MTT players) ![]()
ALso, how are the equity realisation % calculated ?
Many thanks

Hi Byronson,
the difference consits in the calculation method. The first two calculation methods exists, because of the compatibility to propokertools.com .
1. Hand vs. hand:
One hand from the first and one hand from the second range will be taken, a random flop will be generated and the resulting equity is included in the results. This calculation is repeated very often.
2. Hand vs. range:
One hand from the first range will be taken, a random flop will be generated and the equity against the second range will be caculated. This calculation is repeated very often.
3. Range vs. range:
A random flop will be generated and the equity of the first range against the second range will be calculated. This calculation is repeated very often.
In our opinion the first two calculation methods are almost useless, because in reality you like to know how your range performs against another range, isn't it?
So in conclusion, we highly recommend to to use the "range vs. range" calculation method to get proper results.

Hi bay2107RNMD,
we are sorry, but we have almost no idea of MTTs. We think, the smaller your stack, the smaller are the differences between your "true equity" and your "realised equity".
With the Power-Equilab you can create your own equity realisation tables for different stack size for your own.
Generaly, it depends a litte on your playing style. F. e. some players overplay his aces and realise a smaller equity than other players. If you have a big set of well defined tables, feel free to contact us ![]()

The original offset values are inspired by this thread: https://forums.pokerstrategy.com/de/forum/thread.php?threadid=42351
The realisation factors are calculated based on this offsets.

I have been using power-equilab for the vast majority of my equity calcs and hand range categorization since the summer. I am very happy with the improvements over time, you have corrected most of the issues that I found to be problems with the workflow over time. I have created pre-defined hand ranges for every scenario I can possibly encounter, this allows me to quickly calculate range vs range equities on the fly. I also use the Hand Range Calculator frequently, this allows me to determine the mathematically optimal hand range to continue with vs an opponents bet sizing. For example if I am in the BB and I face a 4x raise. SB folds. That means I will defend with hands that have at least 35.3% equity vs the BTN's range [22+, A2s+, K2s+, Q2s+, J2s+, T2s+, 92s+, 83s+, 73s+, 63s+, 52s+, 43s, A2o+, K2o+, Q2o+, J2o+, T5o+, 96o+, 85o+, 75o+, 65o].
Now that Power-Equilab is stable and very useful, I hope that you create an iPhone/Android tool that would revolutionize the way that mobile equity range analysis is performed. I imagine a stripped down version of power-equilab, which has the following tools:
* Cloud synchronized pre-defined hand ranges that are auto loaded from the desktop version of Power-Equilab
* Hand Range Calculator for determining ranges vs a specified equity
* The ability to switch between the entire range or a specific range group when loading a pre-defined hand range
* The ability to combine range groups to create a new range
Most of the other tools would not be necessary in the mobile version of power-equilab, for example you wouldn't need to include the ability to assign combos into range groups, playability profiles aren't needed, and the hand strength tab can be excluded to create a lighter weight mobile app. The mobile app should augment, not replace power-equilab... in fact if the mobile app is designed well then it would encourage more people to purchase the desktop version of the app.
I consider my suggestions... in my opinion the only thing missing from power-equilab at this stage is a complimentary mobile app.
Hello Developer of Equilab,
I am a professional poker player. Currently I am using the free version Equilab 1.2.8.0. I am really happy with your program. I am missing one small but very important feature for me. Hope you can fix this.
With the featuare 'Hand range calculator' I can request hands that have minimum xx% equity (or more) against a certain range. If I want to know against a certain range which hands have 35% equity or more I fill in 35% in the field minimum equity. However your program gives me total equity. Total equity is winning equity plus tie equity. Since tie equity does not add any value in the games I play I need to know the hands that have minimum 35% winning equity. Currently with your program I do not see an option to choose for winning equity instead of total equity.
For my calculations I need to know hands that have minimum 35% winning equity so any tie equity not included. Currently if a hand has 34% winning equity and 2% tie equity it is considered as 36% equity and this hand will be included in the outcome of hands with 35% or more equity. Which I do not want. Want only hands in the outcome that have 35% winning equity or more.
Can you please add this to your program? I can pay you for it.

good idea ... but, to be honest, if we do that, it will take a while.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think this is not a big thing ... but, i'm sorry, i always thought, that the tie-equity is important, because you get a part of the pot and this is part of your winnings.
