Vorpal - how are you finding out when the spins happen?

All - A couple of silly questions:
1) How do you find out if you've won anything from the deal (i.e. when the jackpot is won)?

2) Is there a place in your account settings to choose to get an email notification when you earn a bonus/rakeback etc... or is there a place where you can go and see what you've collected in bonuses (i.e. The Daily Leaderboard pay-outs when that was going on, chests that you've opened, etc...)

If PokerStars is open on my computer when the spin occurs, I have a script that logs when that window opens.
If not, a couple of friends will report to me if it is open on theirs.
If neither of those, then we miss it.

If you win a prize in The Deal you get an email. AFAIK, it is automatic.
I just looked through my settings, and I found:
 Under "Global" | "Communication Preferences" there is an option to receive communication from PokerStars for Poker. I have that set, the others are unset

That is all I could find

Thanks Vorpal - I have the same settings... but I don't ever recall getting an email about any bonuses that I earned (just the pop-up screens for chests earned while I'm logged in, but I find Pokerstars windows sometimes don't load and just stay black forever... so I'm always thinking I missed something.)

Jackpot is over 110k now.

when is a good time to start playing 7 coins every 12 hours in hopes that it pops? after 100k ,150k 200k? I did a spin today and I was going to continue every day

I usually start when it breaks 100K
On July 7th I started when it was 112K
It was on on July 27th for 151K and in that time I had played 20 times paying a total of118 coins net (you win a few along the way)
They payout that time was around 152K
I collected 9.06 -- 7.68 cents / coin
I have had some really good runs once winning $11.18 after playing only 3 times.

It may seem costly, but so far for me it has been the best use of StarsCoin

Depending on the hands you hit when you play, you can win prizes based on the hand you get when you play...

You can also choose to play for 70 coins instead of 7 for a chance at better rewards for each hand. (but there is no prize for the worst hands if I recall correctly.)

When someone spins the jackpot wheel and hits the jackpot space, they get 50% of prize pool and everyone who played in past 12 hours splits the other 50%. (As I understand it anyways)
