pokerhands help

try switching to the original hud.xml file from the big install package.
The xml file posted is just a section of the whole thing.

To be certain, I copied my entire working HUD.xml to the share site.

Note that when you retrieve this file, you need to rename it as hud.xml and put it in your pokerhands folder.

If you have skype, maybe we could set up a skype session to get things sorted out.

Also, I just ran a short session, and I can confirm that the hud.xml file does work.
I think it may be necessary to have the pokerstars english version, if that makes a difference to you.

I started from scratch and extracted PH to a new folder, replaced the .exe and copied in the hud.xml file (renamed), then set up the database connection and import folders.

It still imports fine but no hud.

I'm using the english version of Stars too.

I'm stumped.

After much tinkering, long shot taking and general mystification. I got the damn thing working

Just out of curiosity, what fixed the problem?

TBH I'm not 100% sure, I got as far as trying it fresh on Windows XP in VirtualBox, I had to dl/install .net 4 etc (fortunately the disk image already had stars & Postgre on it).

I set it up and it worked 1st time out! Buggered if I know why! So I just copied that folder back to the host and tried it there (tweaked the db & hh settings) and it worked.

Actually I use 7zip on the host machine and I unzipped every thing with explorer in XP, that is the only difference I can think of. I wonder if my copy of 7zip is slightly buggy.

I'll dl the latest version.

[EDIT] no way it can be that, it would fail CRC checks and 7zip is up to date and there hasn't been a new release since 2010! (That screams stable code to me)

I am experiencing the same problem as borsian. Havent played 5cd in ages. I downloaded the pokerhands from the same source i did last time and it worked. Unlike back in the daysthis time the hud just wont pop up.
Ive already sent a request to Vorpal. Hope to get it running but so far nothing i tried really helped.

Maybe i just need the newest downloads. Also, could it be the stars.EU causing me all of the trouble and do i need to download it elsewhere?

How did you send it?
If you add me in the community tool, I can either transfer the files to you via skype, or give you the link to download them.

As far as I know, the original source location is dead.

I would be happy if it was otherwise.

I have also not played 5CD in a week or more, so the version I have may be dead too.

OK, I checked and my HUD is working on PokerStars 5CD
The link I sent you contains only a .exe file.
Use it to replace the one your are currently using and all should be well.
