Basically yes - although the situation is a bit different. For a resteal our opponent needs to have at least 20BB in order for us to have enough fold equity. That is also stated in lesson itself.

In addition you will always have to think about taking a big chunk of your own stack on risk with such a resteal while you could very well choose a different line.

In the end you will have to be a bit more careful with resteals when it comes to effective stack sizes.

The next steps for me would be paying closer attention to the other players. In an MTT we're not usually multi-tabling a lot of tables, so careful notes would be a major asset.
Other next steps might be:
♦  Bluffing beyond the normal semi-bluff
♦  Refining push/fold ranges somewhat. The course outlines some basics, but it may sometimes be wise to tighten those ranges vs loose players behind use, or loosen them vs nits behind us. In an MTT where each level carries a jump in pay, it may be the best thing to fold the weaker part of the range to increase our payout.
♦  Calling shoves. I'm a bit at a loss there. I have a nice hand (AKo, AQo etc and somebody who covers me shoves ahead of me.) I never really like calling, but this is where the notes help.

I can't think of anything else at the moment.

We need a couple more episodes of this course!

Best way to improve further would be to find other players who are willing to do session reviews and live sweats together. Posting questions in the forum is also a great way to improve yourself.

Also to Asaban thank you so much the beginners MTT series, I have studied it and am already seeing a massive difference in my game. Recently final tabled one of those $1.35 turbo ko tournaments with 7000 people on stars.

The videos about the midgame mainly on steals and resteals has had the most significant impact on my MTT play as i now realise that was a huge leak in my game, so many thanks

If you have limpers, you should be opening only UTG's opening hands chart. and add 0.5BB per limper.

Hello everyone

Yesterday I had an MTT thrill (or mtt mood shall I say?) and I min-cashed a MM-Zoom entry for 10$, and later in night I came 7th in a micro-mtt with a super-fishy pool, for 25$.

I made tons of mistakes such as bullying too much when have Avg.Stack, call 3 barrel with AJo on Axx board and opp revealed his AQo, which has cut my stack by 1/2, and then I'm like oh no why I did that didn't want to sacrifice that much ♦

Have to be more aware of stuff like that and play bit tighter !
I found out that even when blinds are big, people like to cold-call a lot even with shit-stacks when I raise from MP3-BTN.

Today I didn't have big MTT-mood :P, busted like 100th in 2.1k player-pool.

At the moment I'm running 1/300 in a micro-mtt with 2.4k player-pool

These series really help me, I think I will go through the videos again - especially Middle Stage as I skipped this one.

I think I should mainly discipline myself in early-middlestage, and in late stage I think I have to be a bit more looser in some situations where I can shove pre rather than minR and then fold to a shove.

I got exploited by 2 guys and I didn't adjust in time, lost 1/2 stack at least for lines like minR/fold. or minR and then fold to their donk-shove.

EDIT, that happened : ^_^

This guy/lady (MissBranka, heh) was quiet aggro, limped/donk few pots.

And right after that hand, he's not running out of luck ♦

We raise all the blue hands and go broke with the red ones, so treat limpers as bad players most times and raise anyway is the usual I think.

As always in these situations, it depends!

If we are in position we may call a reraise with the blue hands sometimes, but this depends on factors I am not qualified to advise you on, you would need to wait for the coach.

First one includes Early & Middle stages, as well as the Push/Fold <15bb'

This one includes Resteal and Calling allin's (i guess rejamming also) when stand against a Resteal

** I DID NOT INCLUDE DEFENDING BLINDS RANGE **

There may have been other parts I forgot to add, feel free to edit it and re-post it.

@JUAREZSWN: gadget already explained most of it. If you have further questions I would advise watching the coaching video itself. It is all explained in a lot of detail there, with a few examples at the end.

Hi All,

First, thanks to Asaban for what is looking like a great course. Unfortunately, I missed it live, but I am catching up on the videos and studying hard.

Quick question: I have just watched the 2nd lesson. Asaban says that the early stage ends when the antes kick in. I am currently playing some 180man Turbo SNGs and the antes don't kick in until the blinds are 125/250 (level 7), so does early stage still finish then, or would it end a little earlier (maybe 50/100 which is level 4)?
