2 folds, Hero raises to 150, 5 folds, BB calls 100

Flop: (379) 2♥: A♣: A♥: (2 players)
BB bets 400, Hero raises to 1,162 and is all-in, BB calls 762

Turn: (2,703) 7♦: (2 players, 1 is all-in)

Spoiler

2,703 pot
Final Board: 2♥: A♣: A♥: 7♦: 9♥:
BB showed Q♦: T♦: and lost (-1,318 net)
Hero showed K♣: K♦: and won 2,703 (1,385 net)

His story just did not make sense, why would he overbet flop if he has an ace here, it would be more profitable for him to check/raise

I disslike the jam, what scary turns is there? I mean we got a bluffcatcher and if we jam what do we hope to get called by? I rather keep villians range as wide as possible.

He could definitely have a draw like KhJh or some 43s, lower pocket pair from 88-AA with which he could call with as well

This seems like a sarcastic comment, but I could be wrong. I think you can shove to protect your hand against flush draws, but without reads he can do this with random bluffs as well that will fold if you shove and if you let him bluff on the turn he will have most likely a wider range if you push right now.

I personally do not dislike this play at the micros! Two Aces are already blocked, so it is unlikely that Villain has an Ax-combo like AQ, ATs, AK is blocked by the two aces on the flop and the two kings Hero holds.

So it´s very likely that we hold the best hand. Further, at the micros -as we see here - so many Villains call with even worse hands: any pair (because they think they are good), here only 3 pair combos beat us (the deuces), any high card (as we see here high card queen) like QJ, QT, Q9s, any draw in hearts.

Villain signalizes that he thinks that he holds the best hand. In the micros it is very often the case, that those Villains are willing to call even an all-in, because they just like their hand and think they are good.

Thus: Here Hero has a good chance to double up - which is the case. By the way if Hero just calls he will be committed at the turn anyway. Folding this hand is out of question.

I personally would jam too.

Could we please remove the spoilers in the future? This keeps the comments more balanced/fair.

Nevertheless. I think that both of the comments themes above make sense. Which is 1) we will get value from a lot of worse hands more easily (so this means jam = fine) and 2) if we jam here, he will probably call his draws and Ax off course, but maybe he would fold his 77-QQ.

I'm in the second camp. Calling his flop bet and keeping his range (as well as our percieved range) as wide as possible. Never folding off course.

I think variant 1) my variant is for the "typical" micro-Villain who will never fold QQ, JJ, TT, 99, or even QJs, QTs here. Variant 2) makes sense against a better reg.

I think both are right - depends on Villain.

That call by villain though once you shove lol what must your range be comprised of? dont think he will ever have the required 28% with TQdd
