I like the hand as played, a raise will not be called by worse hands and he is giving so good odds that I call instead of folding that turn.

so on the flop i think the call is good.
you have mid pair + a gutshot draw + backdoor flush draw. so yep i would call here too.

on the turn any 8, any 7 and any J might win you the hand so here a call is just an odds play.

on the river it his not that easy anymore, because you hit one of your outs and only JT beats you.
and there might be some hands who are calling you if you raise small to say, 200, then the pot is 400 and he has to call 120.
those 3:1 odds might be good enough for him to call you with a set, or with a two pair.

true there is some chacne he really has TJ but in this tourney there are sooooo many donks in the beginning (and he is one for sure with his low bets) that i think the raise is the better play.

true nobody wants to get reraised all in there on the river, but even if he does.... i think then it is still a splitt. true there is some danger in raising here at the end, but you hit your draw to your hand and then there might be some hands he wants to call with, so raising here should be the better play.
