Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 3♣ A♣
fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 2.4 BB, fold, fold, BB raises to 7.6 BB, Hero calls 5.2 BB
Thoughts:

Spoiler

after villain's 3bet, my goal was to continue in a favorable flop for a fd, a st8 draw or if a hit 2pair. I'd continue with tp weak kicker only if villain showed some weakness.

Flop: (15.6 BB, 2 players) 7♠ A♦ A♥
BB bets 12 BB, Hero calls 12 BB
Thoughts:

Spoiler

looking in retrospective, it was a weird cbet size for any trips except for those with bad kickers and some KK-JJ bluffs

Turn: (39.6 BB, 2 players) 2♠
BB bets 20 BB, fold
Thoughts and questions:

Spoiler

After that big cbet and the continued aggression OTT, I assumed I was behind some better AX and decided for letting that hand go, but I'm still unsure about how correct my decision was... I had almost the worst possible trips

Spoiler

BB wins 38 BB

I do not see myself folding on the turn, just call and reevaluate river.

Same here. I'm calling turn too. I think he has plenty hands in his range he would double barrel with. After all, the chance you have an Ace is small bc of the 2 aces exposed so he will bet most pocket pairs 8++ and some broadway to try to let you believe he has an ace.

I would struggle folding this hand OTT too. We still have trips and villain's better trips are quite well blocked. But would he really double barrel many weaker hands?

I would call the turn, the re-evaluate river.
If you had more info on the villain and have him tagged for a decent reg, then I would probably fold the turn.
