Personally having a slow transition to the next level is the best way to go about it, theres no rush, right? Keep playing NL20, and have the odd shot at NL50, when you feel comfortable with the slightly larger pots, the strategy stays the same. I got the impression that protection of your blinds is critical as you move up limits, whether it applies to NL50 I couldn't say. I don't think anything drastically changes, aggression IP is always paramount. I get the impression you're some what nervous / anxious about moving up, that will have an effect on your game, if you don't feel comfortable about moving up, then don't :). You have a good winrate at nl20, good bankroll, what keeps you from moving up? I really don't think that players at nl50 are that much better, with your roll i'd take 4BI shot at least. Just make sure you've watched all vids on nl50 and you'll be fine. imho.

Here is a list of things I'm doing in order to speed up my progress in poker:
1) I am exercising daily for an hour(mostly to keep my back in shape). This helps my game a lot, I have noticed better results when I do this. The body is connected to the mind and poker is a mind game imo.
2) I am trying to eat better, healthy food for the same reason as 1), also it helps me play sports better.
3) I play sports whenever I can, which is not enough, currently like once a week, soccer or swimming.
4) I am trying to read(and fully understand of course) the gold articles as fast as possible, in the belief that if I do this I should need less time to beat NL50(not guaranteed of course).
5) I have tons of hands to post in evaluation, too many to post, so I just post the biggest pots, wins and losses alike. I must lose the least possible but also extract the most value when I win.
6) As you may have guessed by now, I'm learning/playing poker more or less fulltime, with rests of 1:30-3:00 hrs between sessions.
7) Most days I take a 1-2 hr nap after lunch and wake up re-charged and ready to go! This gives me an edge over the multitabling regulars who I guess don't take one and are tired at the end of the day.
8) When I get bored during a grinding session I open up youtube and play some up-tempo music in the background; if i am tilting(havent tilted much these days) I play relaxation music.
9) I try very hard to balance family-work-social-poker but social is taking a beat and poker is priority at this stage, for the good of the family imo.
I beat my biggest-pot-to-date record twice yesterday, and as my wife doesnt give a shit(shes rather pissed actually after I forgot our 12th anniversary =S) I will share it with you guys:

Its taking me forever to make $2k BR lol(at $1,955), Im even playing 4 tables now to concentrate on the players. Must have patience! I've read many gold articles, still have some more left though.
I did my first sweat session with roswellx (nl10) and it went ok. Too bad I was at work using my crappy work internet and was busy most of the time with clients =S I rarely use this connection so it should be much more fluid and with way less interruptions in the future.
Having said this, I'm free to comment on any NL10/NL20/NL50 BSS player with Teamviewer. Just post here or add me as a friend in the community section(top right of forum).
Hey there man I just accepted u at the comunity so we can do a NL20 session, but has to be next week because my BR is currently at stars and I don't hav enough for now to play NL20 at mansion too.

I tried playing while Berzerger watched/commented but found I can't focus on my A-game doing this. So I will just comment on others if they want for time being.
I went over to the spanish language PS board because I was bored yesterday at work. Watched not one but two live public NL50 sessions!
Couldn't hear "Seven" coach very well, but no one else was complaining so w/e. He has a strong english? accent.
Then I watched "samy4" live session and sound was crystal clear and tons more ppl watching. Samy4 is a spaniard I think and is pretty good at doing live sessions, multitasking between 5 tables, commenting hands and even answering every single question from like 65+ ppl in the chat!
I asked if I should go up to NL50 with 37 BI's and 9+BB/100(NL20) and he said yes without hesitation. This is the small push I needed and later on today (as soon as some loud family members leave) I will try NL50 on 3 tables for starters.
Playing NL50 will generate some much needed points to finish the $200 bonus($170 so far) and maintain my "pro" status at Mansion. In July I plan on trying to clear the $50+100 888.com starting capital and have it there as some extra cash/playing option for the future. 
So I just tried BSS FR NL50 and I feel great to have come out in the green! Won with AA three times(lucky bastard) and otherwise played tightish, no questionable moves. Since I was only playing 3 tables, it was much easier to close bad tables and open better ones.
I payed attention to what some players were doing and identified/noted some fish and regs immediately. Talking about fish, there was this one guy at one point playing like 10 tables with SS and just shoving any playable hand lol. He left soon after I noticed though.

Concerning your question, to beat NL20 I had to read up on all the silver articles and watched some videos(not many though). As many of you know, I post tons of hands for evaluation, basically I post every hand where I doubted what to do. And I ask the judge questions until I understand what he's teaching me.
You have to identify WHY you are losing, instead of grinding away day after day, making the same mistakes over and over.
Playing more than 4 tables is good for bonus clearing but bad for your table profits imo, since you can't focus that much on beating the players individually. Stats can be misleading.
I play 3 tables until I'm absolutely comfortable playing the limit, and add 1 more to cure boredom. When I'm overrolled and clearing a bonus I can play 5 tables.@timkroes: yes, I'm nitty but its so easy to lose what one has worked so hard to get

NL50 Update: I'm doing quite good, over about 2.5k hands, surpassing my highest BR twice already. Managed to recuperate some initial losses by tightening up and hopefully I will be able to maintain this level of profit in the weeks to come.
$200 bonus is cleared as of today so I will probably be looking where to play next. I'm thinking of buying HEM from Mansion for about 26K MCP but I'm not sure yet.
Edit: I might clear the 888.com capital in July but not sure wether its worth it now that Im on higher limits...have read some horror stories about their software too.

Honduras is now torn between two presidents: one legally recognized by world bodies after he was deposed and forced from the country by his own soldiers, and another supported by the Central American nation's congress, courts and military.
Presidents from around Latin America were gathering in Nicaragua for meetings Monday to resolve the first military overthrow of a Central American government in 16 years, and once again Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez took center stage, casting the dispute as a rebellion by the region's poor.
"If the oligarchies break the rules of the game as they have done, the people have the right to resistance and combat, and we are with them," Chavez said in the Nicaraguan capital, Managua.
There is a deep rift between the outside world — which is clamoring for the return of democratically elected, but largely unpopular and soon-to-leave-office President Manuel Zelaya — and congressionally designated successor Roberto Micheletti.
Micheletti rejected any outside interference and declared a two-night curfew, while Chavez vowed that "we will overthrow (Micheletti)."
Zelaya was seized by soldiers and hustled aboard a plane to Costa Rica early Sunday, just hours before a rogue referendum Zelaya had called in defiance of the courts and Congress, and which his opponents said was an attempt to remain in power after his term ends Jan. 27.
The Honduran constitution limits presidents to a single 4-year term, and Zelaya's opponents feared he would use the referendum results to try to run again, just as Chavez reformed his country's constitution to be able to seek re-election repeatedly.
Micheletti said the army acted on orders from the courts, and the ouster was carried out "to defend respect for the law and the principles of democracy." But he threatened to jail Zelaya and put him on trial if he returned. Micheletti also hit back at Chavez, saying "nobody, not Barack Obama and much less Hugo Chavez, has any right to threaten this country."

As a person living in the capital of Honduras, my opinion is that:
1. Mel Zelaya(Liberal party) wanted to do what Chavez did in Venezuela: Change the constitution in order to be able to re-elect himself.
2. Mel Zelaya was widely unpopular.
3. I do not agree with a "coup" but is there another way to stop a man who has chosen to stay in power perpetually? Beter to stop him now than to regret it later imo. Besides, the actions against Mel are supposedly legal and are a response to his recent actions.
4. Micheletti(Liberal party) is unpopular too but anything is better than Mel.
5. Imagine how bad Mel's actions are in order to have both parties, Liberal and National, unite against him! This is nearly impossible to happen under normal conditions.
6. imo Chavez is gaining adepts/allies thanks to his oil riches and has practically declared war on us.
7. At the moment most business' are closed, and people are scared. Thankfully we still have electricity, cable, internet, water, etc. But this will surely not be the case when Chavez invades us from his allied country Nicaragua.
8. Personally I don't care much about who steals my taxes, but I heard people in Venezuela and other socialist countries have it hard.

Well, seems like Mel is tring to come back (and start a bloodbath in the process), he has the backing of the international community due to the way he was expelled from the country. Current government says they will incarcerate him as soon as he sets foot here.
Some groups have been placing makeshift bombs near fast food restaurants like Burger King i.e., they are believed to be Mel followers backed by Chavez's people. Chavez is the dictator in Venezuela btw.
Hondurans are apprehensive as to when Mel will be making a comeback as it wont be pretty. He already tried to land in a Venezuelan plane but trucks were placed on the runway. One Mel follower was killed while trying to access the runway.
Its a good thing elections are due in November...

Back to poker news:
I was running hot on NL50 but atm my motivation is at an all-time low after losing 1 BI each day for 4 days(I stop playing when I lose a BI because of Tilt). Yesterday I didn't even play because the day before I played in the Irish festival freeroll (first place wins $4K package) and was so depressed I just commited suicide in it, going all in from MP3 with JTo.
This moneybooker's problem is bugging me, it seems like I can't withdraw my hard earned money(not that I want to just yet) so I feel like I'm doing all this for nothing. Poker is fun when I'm winning, and so dam boring when I'm not. I think I need to switch sites or something. For now I will take a longish break until I really want to play, not just play because I have to maintain pro on mansion. I will definitely play on Monday for double points though.
I've resorted to drinking an alcoholic beverage or two from time to time to escape my feeling of uselessness. Hopefully I will snap out of it soon and start killing the tables again. Im at about 9BB/100 even after losing, it was around 14BB/100 like a week ago. Good numbers but I'm still depressed lol

I don't feel ready to go back to NL50 yet, but I won a monthly live 5-player sng with my friends for a profit of about $65 (minus some beers - $4), which inspires me to keep going.
I played the Titan silver freeroll today and was out about 10 mins before the money, prob because I wasnt aiming for the money. Kind of tough because I'm not too used to mtt's and recieved nothing for 2 hours play even though at what point I was at 19th place out of about 450.
I tried to steal the blinds with 67s and I had to call when a short stack shoved. He turned over AA and they held up. I don't think it was a bad play though.
After that, the blinds were huge and I fought for my life but lost in the BB with J4o when utg limped and BU called. Flop was 235 rainbow and I shoved my stack which was just over pot size with OESD+OC. I couldn't believe it when utg called and turned over A4o!! WTF?
I guess poker opponents are like women sometimes, you just cannot understand them!(unless the female players explain stuff in their blogs)
I am still visiting the forums, trying to find motivation to start playing again. I think withdrawing some money and/or changing sites will motivate me to start playing again. Apparently citibank doesnt allow gaming transactions with their cards so I will have to talk to another bank.

I couldn't resist playing the monday 2-hour 2xMCP bonus period and after one hour of breakeven play, I lost a stack on the river when my set was beat by a guy with Q6s who was calling down with TP and hit runner-runner for the flush.
After hitting the desk a couple of times, I immediately thought "here we go again, godamit" and then I noticed how irrational that sounded. So I kept playing (kept an eye on the tilt monster in case he appeared) and when the 2 hours were coming to a close I was breakeven again
There were many spots where I played like if it was the Titan silver freeroll(aggro ip, but with the difference I don't have to stack-off if called) and it seemed to pay off. Seems like mtt tactics work in cash games too.
In one of the last hands of the 2-hour period, I got KK(got many good hands this session) and without getting overly excited I raised and got called by 3 players. When another K came on the flop I started getting excited. Board was drawy(KQx with two spades) so I bet and got called on flop and turn. Long story short, he had QQ and I saw my hard work payed off. Why can't all sessions be like this?
Winning this session makes me want to maintain my "pro" status and I will be aiming to complete the 1227 MCP I need before the end of the month.
