Hows your play lately Brood? I've been on a mean downswing. Its been so bad I have been appologized too twice in the last 2 days. The worst hand I had KsKh and the board came AsKd8d. On the flop it was three handed with a pot of 6. I bet 4 got one fold and got one call. Turn comes 3h and I bet 10 into a 14 pot. Get a reraise all in. I call for $40! Villian flips over AdTd and of course 9d comes on the river to give him a massive pot of over $90. That was the start of a weekend full of suckouts. Also over 4k hands I had AA 4 times. Twice UTG1. Raise to .60 and it folds around to me on both. The other two on the button. Everyone folded to me.

I think I am going to play a few hours on "poker ocean" which is also ipoker, because I can nab a free licence for PT3. If 1 ocean point ~= 1 titan point, itll only take a couple of hours to clear the free licence.

Mansion >>> Titan.

- They are nearly exactly the same interface, just a different color.
- Mansion has your name in a brighter color than rest of players, so its easier to multi-table
- Mansion does not have the fkn annoying popup!
- Titan's support is a bit more accessible, but no biggie.
- I think Mansion has better promos. (Just gave me $200 bonus )

btw, I haven't asked you for a sweat session because you seem to know way more than me lol

+1 to mansion support for sure. Callable REAL people on a toll free line.

+1 to better bonuses. Not only will you get 200% up to $600 for a first deposit but every once in a while (like alot of players did recently) they will release another $200 dollar bonus.

As for actual MCP Bonuses I'm not sure if they are any better per dollar value than Titan points are.

Hmm. Ive got a silly big bonus to play with until the 2nd of June (wont clear much of it but ill clear some of it). After that expires ill think about a shift, if only to change my screen name

Id be happy to try a sweat session, but timing will be interesting. Im GMT +10 so evening server time is early morning local Ive done sessions with a friend who also plays poker watching and it does help alot to have the second opinion there. In fact we found that if we were watching the other play then no one did anything exceptionally stupid because you dont want to look like an idiot

Its going to take a lot to stop me, thats all I can say

I play 5 tables when Im in ideal mindset/focus/energy, and sometimes 4 when Im not 100% focused or when theres not many tables available.
Sometimes 3 when its near the end of the session(tables break up) and Im feeling tired and just need a few more points for a $10 bonus segment.

The difference between 4 and 5 tables is amazing; if i was sleepy/bored I wake up and start clicking like a madman! Its better to go broke because I was multitabling than to go broke/quit because I was bored =/

atm, Im pretty confident with my play at NL20 and I just need to not tangle with a certain couple of regulars(yet) and Ill be fine. I no longer fear losing a $20 stack like I used to when I started.

My limping of pp(not always of course) and overcalling sc has been working great so far, I feel at this limit you can really throw regulars off-balance by mixing up your game since they have stats on you.

Good to see your still doing good. I'm from Vancouver so I'm in the PST timezone. I was on a mean downswing in NL20. It seemed my big hands couldn't get paid off and I kept getting sucked out. After alot of reviewing (like 6 hours) and looking at my EV chart (what kind of luck is having a projected EV of -$286 over 10k hands) I realized my play was quite solid. My main leak was making big pots with my bluffs, and calling SSS players with TKGK. Anyways I was break even.

A few days ago I won a live tourny and made good money in a live NL200 game, so I deposited the rest of the money I needed to play NL50. I decided I'd play SH but I would play NL20 SH first for a bit to get the feel. What I realized was that skill shines in SH games. You can manipulate the way the game is played.

If I where you I'd dabble in some SH games. Players with skill have by far the best of it. Also in SH there doesn't seem to be any rocks and there are no SSS players for the most part. After my experience I think you would do great in SH.

This "poker career" seems to be speeding up, and there's pressure to play more hands in order to advance; hopefully it will settle down a bit when I get to NL50(more points per hand).

I'm adapting to players much easily now that I understand the stats better, I try to watch my image on each table and play accordingly, stealing when I have a tight image and bluffing less when I look like a maniac.
I 2-barrel with ease these days vs select opponents, rarely did that before on NL10.

Im reading the silver articles at a rate of like 1 per 3 days, much faster than before I started printing them up. I even watch videos now; used to watch just 1 a week when on NL10. Every 1 or 2 days I post the maximum allowed hands for evaluation which is 22 I think. I have to thank the judges and PS members that evaluate and discuss my hands on the forum, I feel this has improved my game in the same amount as the articles do.

I'm anxious about playing NL50 soon but not as much as when I was about to play NL20. I try to watch NL50 videos to prepare for this. I have thought about playing SH but I feel I will stick to FR as long as possible as its all Ive played up till now.

Well, it turned out to be another "robotic" post, but I hope it helps any readers in my same position.

Edit: The stats are for NL20 in 2009 only. I played a bit in 2008 with negative results, had AA cracked but many bad plays too.

Hey brood, i think you could really give SH a try.. for let's say 20,000 - 30,000 hands, not to stay on SH but because such experience should increase your overal play and aid you crushing FR tables a lot imo.

I want people to respect my raises/steals a bit more and be ahead when they don't(fish ), hence I have smaller VPIP. Also I'm playing 5 tables on ipoker so its kind of hard to play many hands simultaneously.
I think any stats are good as long as you win with them.

yep, been hearing a lot about SH, but I don't see myself switching yet, unless I start losing on FR, right now I'm at a high on NL20, I was negative or breakeven for a long time.

I like being the table aggresor/captain, and in SH it seems everyone is trying to raise all the time. Also, I would need to get used to the SH stats and it was no easy task in FR, and could confuse me.

Q1: When do you guys recommend I try NL50?

Q2: What did you have to do before beating NL50?

Q3: What are the main differences between NL20 and NL50?

My BR is at $1,767(35BI) and my BB/100 is 10.14 over 25,800 hands since 1/1/2009.

personally i woul wait till $2000 to play NL50. I am playing NL25 with a big winrate, and I think u r too so just wait a while brfore moving to NL50. I personally have never played Nl50 so i dont know the differences.
