His story is so believable. Range is AA AK

But because you have the blocker K, I have to call. He might have AQ AJ.

PLO variance is too gruesome for my taste.

Assumption is that we are up against a tight straightforward regular who did not adapt yet to an actually required more loose/aggressive 3-handed dynamics which is usually the case on lower stakes:

I check back this flop since we can protect our flop checkback range with some stronger hands and there is also no runout where I`d love to invest 3 barrels anyways. The medium-strength made-hand gives u some showdownvalue and with 2 backdoorflushdraws I´d prefer to see a turncard to know where I am at (equity realization).

As played I would bet/fold the flop. The board is dry and static so the only semi-bluffing hand would be :Qx::Jx::Tx: . It is more likely that he has a strong made hand that has you beat ( :Ax::Ax: , :Kx::Kx: , :Ax::Kx: ). By making this decision early on you also save money later on in underdog scenarios like this where villain holds up his aggression. Turn and river are folds too.

Agree with Mascherano that checkback flop seems reasonable.

Furthermore, I would also fold flop versus raise.

But as played, I don't see myself folding turn or river.
He would certainlty raise AAxx and almost all KKxx SB versus BB preflop, so discarding at least AA from his range seems fine.
As played you only lose to A6xx and one possible KKxx.

On the other hand, pot check raise and pot turn & river seems pretty nutty.

Love to see the outcome :)

You are right concerning the :Ax::Ax: , limp-calling them does not make sense since he should RFI the weaker ones if he is trying to play a completing strategy from the SB at all. Beside :Ax::6x:xx he should not 3bet "almost all" of his :Kx::Kx: though so together with :Ax::Kx: there are plenty of those in his range. To balance this big value-part he would need to add air type of hands like gs+bdfd which is a strong play if done at the correct ratio but few people actually are capable of consequently barreling allin with such hands. From my experience the likelyhood of an exploitative fold being the best option increases heavily from flop to turn and slightly from turn to river.

And dont get biased by single showdown-events.

In general:

Dont get drawn from 1 early small mistake into bigger more costly mistakes later on. If you cannot assign him a reasonable bluffing range it is still just burning money no matter how much you have invested already. The money u`ve put in the pot one street before does not belong to you anymore. It is totally fine to abort a hand due to a mistake you recognized and just fold in the middle of a hand but throwing good money bad. It is a mindset leak to think you are entitled somehow dependant on how much u have invested so far...

300bb deep, versus limp-caller and getting the worst river card in the deck. :)

First, I would not go for pot on the flop or on the turn. Bet normal 3/4 on the flop and half a pot on the turn to keep his range wider and all Axxx hands along.

Now when you pot it on the flop and he raises you, that raise itself is damn strong. You have bottom two with little chance to improve. Easy fold on the flop.
