I'm very confused as well.
I don't know the difference between the two types of bonuses.
Considering the strange answers I've had to my emails, I am guessing that the 888 support crew is also somewhat unsure.

I will know more at the end of July when I once again check on my bonus points.

I find it quite strange that you cannot just see your bonus points in the client, and it is also strange that you cannot see the progress of your bonus-clearing efforts.

Cheers,

You are right Vorpal, you can't see bonus point in the client, but you can follow the progress of your bonus on the white line.
For example you can clearly see the difference between the two bonuses:

Summarize what I know about clearing bonuses so far:
When my bonus balance reach for example $20-30, I start my session with a withdrawal request. A warning pops up, where you can see what you will loose with the withdrawal request.

According to my experience, you will only loose the $0,5 bonuses, but not all of them (Don't really know what's the difference ?( ) and some tournament tickets, which I don't really care of, I have a bunch of them anyway.

From now on there is two scenario:
 If you only have bonus balance, your winning wil add up to it, and if you loose, you will loose from your bonus balance. (There was a point where my $1 bonus turned into $20.)
 However If you left some cash too, but not enough to play (for example $15 bonus balance, $10 cash balance and you open 2 NL10 tables). In the second scenario sometimes you are breakeven, but your bonus bonus balance decrease, and your cash balance will increase with the exact same ammount.

This way you can clear bonuses before the progress bar turns entirely blue :profit:

To show how this method works in the practice, I will document the progress in my blog (at the moment I have $9 bonus balance) with the exact ammount of hand I played on 888. Swimming with the fishes - LahtiPelican's SH adventure

I hope I could help with this little trick!

P.S.: Don't forget to cancel your withdrawal request after the session :D

Hi LahtiPelican,
I'll give this a try.
I have a single $10 bonus that expires in 21 days -- I purchased it with Gold Tokens on June 10 (What an Idiot!)
I also have a $1 bonus.
All the other bonuses I have received I didn't claim, since I wanted to clear the $10 one, and didn't what a bunch of little stuff in the way.
In order to clear that $10 bonus, I will need to wager it 3.5 times (at least I think so as far as I understand the policy -- which nobody in 888's help system does)

If it doesn't work, and I lose it, no matter since I'll be losing it in 21 days anyway.

This seems like a lot of work for a few bucks, and the whole bonus policy reflects very poorly on 888.

Cheers,
VS

I hope you noticed the 30 gold ticket/$ difference between the client and the 888 poker shop before your purchase. I didn't noticed any difference :f_drink::f_drink:

After my session, I will write the update of the project to my blog!

I did not even know of the 888 shop.
Doh!
After checking it out, it seems that the $10 bonus is 1000 gold tokens in both places -- unless there is yet another online shop I don't know about _confused:
