BB is 23/15 50% fold to 3-bet on 273 hands

What range do you think BB cold calls?

PokerStars - $0.05 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BTN: $6.06 (121.2 bb)
SB: $5.00 (100 bb)
BB: $5.18 (103.6 bb)
UTG: $6.12 (122.4 bb)
Hero (MP): $5.00 (100 bb)
CO: $3.78 (75.6 bb)

SB posts $0.02, BB posts $0.05

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.07) Hero has J♠: A♠:
UTG raises to $0.15, Hero raises to $0.45, 3 folds, BB calls $0.40, UTG calls $0.30

Flop: ($1.37, 3 players) T♥: 6♣: A♥:
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets $0.43, BB raises to $1.29, fold, Hero ??

it's very unlikely that he has anything worse than your hand, raising with UTG left to act. sets, AK, who knows...

I totally agree. You are ahead of the 3 FD+GS draws (that is, if we put all suited broadways in his pf range), but you're crushed by what beats you (AT/66/TT). I've seen people call 66 pf at these stake in these spots so I would rather fold - he even raised without knowing that EP would fold, so as far as BB is concerned, he could still have 66/TT/ATs/KQhh/KJhh/QJhh/76hh/65hh. Maybe he even has AK and didn't feel like cold 4betting with it, but feels compelled to raise now that he has TPTK

I agree! And I think he won't play draws aggressively in this spot on high frequency.

The most likely hands to cold call pre and raise this flop are the obvious hands AK TT 66 with not many draws. The draws that could possibly do this are QhJh KhJh but if villain has those you need to also add ATs which your behind to.

I'm surprised no one mentioned 3Betting AJs vs UTG -- is that standard?
I'm tighter than that unless I have a specific reason for doing so -- like a very active opponent for example

I think that on high rake games, the recommended strategy is 3-bet or fold, we don't cold call too much on MP vs UTG.
