Play with overcards against donkbets

Only the flop bet is truly a donk -- since he has the betting lead on the turn and river.

So why call?
You're right -- it is unlikely he has a strong hand beats yours until the river.
Is top pair going to be good?

The bets are so small that you do have pot odds assuming that villain is drawing to something and hitting a pair will be good.

With my overcards and draw I wanted to find out

You found out -- I hope you took notes.
I likely would have raised the flop donk, and folded to a shove.
If he called the raise, I would likely fold the turn.

That was my thought: He will mostly have a J or draw. Facing a large river bet when a draw could have arrived (or any large bet actually), I would have folded.

Flop is a clear call. You have the nut Ace High and 2 overcards on a paired board. Paired Boards are harder to connect with so the relative hand strength of ACe high is a lot stronger here.

Turn is a clear fold: His leading range will probably be pairs, trips and straight draws. Basically you don't really beat anythign now besides KT which still has a ton of equity vs you
