So if you have TeamViewer open, you might get lifetime ban without any explanation. As that is the line they are drawing, no wonder people get bans without ever knowing why. There are quite often those kinds of softwares on auto startup, especially if people do work with the same computer they use for playing.

Well you read the T%C when signing up right. So they clearly say that is forbidden in their casino.
Of course we all read the whole T&C... 
It says so, and if you get banned for using it there is nothing legally wrong in it. No doubt in that. Their business, their rules. But the whole different topic is, how fair or even morally right that is? I know casinos like to make T&C as broad as possible, to make sure they can ban customers that are abusing their business. But for GG it seems that they are so keen on banning cheaters that they are banning totally innocent players as collateral damage. Legally it is ok, morally not so clear.
My opinion is that there is something very wrong with the whole GG. Before they were a big name, they banned winning players cos they wanted to get rid of players who took money out from the ecosystem. While doing so, they missed the whole point of poker and how it differs from other casino games. In poker you can beat "the house" if you are skilled, and there are numerous idols who's stories give dreams to players. And attract new players to the game. As GG started to grow, they implemented this idea to their marketing as they used well-known names as ambassadors and in advertisement. But at the same time they still banned winning players and implemented the shadiest rakeback system ever seen in online poker. Advertisement says something, and their secret PVI made sure that advertised rakeback was not the case for most players. In most countries that advertisement would have been flagged as illegal and there would have been legal consequences.
Out of all moderate to big game providers, GG has the worst reputation among those who are at least somewhat following poker world and communities. Still, they keep making decisions that are very non-transparent, they don't value other players than recreationals and they keep making decisions that affects their reputation. And I can't understand why?
They have the opportunity to learn from mistakes and become the biggest and best online poker site by far. All they have to do is change their shady shit to transparent and fair.
Sorry about the experiences. I think GG has a game-feel approach that is towards gaming and gamers, and all casinos this year seem to push a fair-play policy together, such as, no-one should be able to have a tracker HUD software that gives them edge vs others. This fair play policy that they push together creates many problems for people who are used to trackHUD people over the internet for maximum edge. But they do seem to push a fair-play policy.
We also need to be clear what we wish to achieve as players. Do we wish to outrun others by using our own HUD ? I think in the end we should be so good that the HUD is in our head, with that the fair-play policy doesn't have a problem. Like, walking in to a live casino with smartphone that calculates ICM for you is pretty rude, isn't it? But if you do it in your head, it is ok.
Like, I have entered Full Tilt underage with pirated HUD software and later even cheated vs the state with Google DNS to be able to take money from fish at 888. But this honored sportsmen push a fair-play or something

Not allowing hud's is ok. And it seems to be the way most casinos are going. But there is a mile long way between "not allowing huds" to "permaban without any chance to appeal for wide range of non-poker related softwares".
I mean I could have been banned for life, cos I had used Odds Oracle to make a post here in PokerStrategy. Closed the software, but the process didn't shut down for some reason. So I had the process running without me realizing it, while I opened GG and played poker. Now it seems they have this same policy as PokerStars, where they send a warning for that. And if you get multiple warnings, you might get banned. But earlier it was one and done for them.
And the sad thing is, that if you get banned you have 0 chance to explain it. Imagine that to our society? We would convict people without trials or investigations. If police thinks there's evidence, jail for life. That leads to many who are banned without a reason, and is quite opposite what siviliced societys are aiming for.
I understand. I used OBS to film the whole story about GG, that looks like fair play. It could be a shady casino, we don't know. At least he got his money back.
