Hi Cpw,

Well it was originally supposed to be for the 2009 WSOP, but due to the software problems and difficulties getting the step 9 started, I am looking to hang onto the Step 9 ticket and use it to qualify for the 2010 WSOP series.

I'll let everyone know how it goes of course.

I'm also looking to start another challenge like this soon, just trying to work on the format of it, so watch this space :)

Best regards,

Bart

Quick update,

Popped into the poker lobby and Step 9 was ready to play so went for it.

Got sucked out and finished 6th winning a retry at Step 8 :O

Just played the Step 8 and absolutely dominated it, extremely tight table and was 1 hour 20 minutes into game before the first guy busted.
I chip built my stack up nicely showing a very tight image, but stealing against the tight players in good spots and took all but 2 players out, winning the game, so ..... yep you guessed it, won a Step 9 ticket.

Here we go again lol

Just got to wait another 6 months for enough people to play the Step 9 again. I just want to end this so I can concentrate on a new challenge.

Oh well, more updates in a few months no doubt :f_zZz:,

Best regards,

Bart

Good luck finding the game, looks like you'll need it...

Tim is so right, you are both wasted in poker, your humour is legendary and I for one think you should both have your own comedy t.v. spot.

You know:

.. The two ronnies
.. Morecombe & wise
.. Cannon & ball
.. Waiboy & Vhallee

Thanks guys and degre too, will let you know what happens in due course.

I just spent about 25minutes reading this blog, i hadn't seen it before..

Do you still have the Step9 Ticket??

GL If you do !

Hi Sabo, thx for reading my ramblings,

Yeah, I still hold the Step 9 ticket and trying to get it played, but as before it's difficult to get enough people to register and play.

It seems that the best time to reg is circa 4am here in the U.K. so as you can imagine it's not the best time for me, but hopefully soon.

I actually really like this format and the low 11cent buyin makes it very grindable, but the software tilts me. If only I could get Full Tilt to take on this format, or Stars to lower their buyins, I would definately do this again.

Still trying to think of a (preferably SNG) related challenge for myself, so if you or anyone has any ideas, don't hesitate to give me a shout.

Best regards,

Bart

What about trying to qualify for the $22 Double Deuce 22 times ina week on Full Tilt by playing the super sats @ $0.75 a pop?

Something like that would be fun to watch! Would be a heck of a challenge too, think it would mean winning 44 SNGs a week, well, finishing in the top spots!

Update time,

So for the last 6 months or so, I've been trying get this Step 9 going with no luck. Sitting on a $800 ticket with no place to go.

The poker platform who I love to hate's support team have finally got off their bums and are making small, hell very small, attempts at getting these played (afraid of compensation claims I guess) so who knows maybe, just maybe we'll draw this to a conclusion.

With this in mind I checked my account and there it read 1xStep9 & 1xStep2 tickets.

Hmmm I thought, might as well donk that Step 2 off to get rid of it.

But the players were so bad, I just couldn't bring myself to aide & abeit their mis-reads & unjustified over confidence. Just had to show them the error of their ways.

Step 2 = Won
Step 3 = Won
Step 4 = 3rd (replay step 4)
Step 4 = Won
Step 5 = Won

Damn it, what are you doing Bart!!

Now your sitting on a Step 9 & a Step 6 ticket, doh!

I'm obviously a sucker for punishment lol.

More news of how these progress sometime in the next 6 months no doubt... watch this space :O

Hehe, You will soon have 2 step 9 tickets if it goes on like this :). And then you can go to WSOP as well as some nice caribbean tourney ;)

Update, managed to get both played tonight, shock horror!

Donked out of the Step 6 pretty quickly, my own fault, just wasn't paying attention to the obscure double belly buster (had step 9 open at same time and obviously concentrating on that).

Once again dominated the early/mid stages of the Step 9. Made some superb reads. But then of course the guy to my right, who in fairness was pretty good, managed to catch a runner runner split pot followed by a lucky river in a hand shortly after.
Eventually lost out to the same guy on a resteal KT, top pair & fd to his KJ. Board no help, finished 5th = Won a replay at step 8, sigh.

Here we go again lol.

Or are u going for the grand prize?

Hi Kyle,

Just the online championship or something. Would prefer to go the whole way (or lose trying) and qualify for something worthwhile (live event) like WSOP, WPT or EPT :P

Wasn't sure you were around or I would have come on skype, next time ;)
