I have been playing no-limit hold'em for a while now and been pretty successful. My starting balance has grown about seven fold. I have just encountered my worst run where my luck was non-exsistent and we all need some luck. Every all in I would lose regardless and I have become quite annoyed. It's not because I'm losing but because the people who call my all ins shouldn't have and have got lucky.
I am fed up of seeing bad play rewarded. My question is : Is poker skill or just plain luck. I recently read a book by Dan Harrington who said poker was like chess. He said those who make the least amount of mistakes will win a game of chess and the same applies to poker. I think thats utter rubbish. Poker is a game of luck. Poker pros aren't pros because their good it's because they have been lucky. If anyone watched Joe Cada win the WSOP then you will have seen he played badly but got lucky.
Anyone agree with me that poker is all luck.
