 I cannot simply by crypto for cash — and few organisations I deal with accept it as payment.

Hi, a late reply for this from July 2022.
I recently, I think 3rd of November I bought some BTC in my Neteller account. Just out of curiosity. I had a small amount, about 45€ in this account I once used for Poker and was a quite surprised by the high amount they would take when I wanted to cash out that money to my bank account. Don't remember how much, but it was simply far more than the 1.5% they take for buying Crypto.
So I thought, let's play a bit around with BTC, since it seemed to go to rise again standing around 32000€. At one point my account went to around €48 and then it dropped and I "panicked" selling with some cents of winning.:f_biggrin:
I bought in again later when I saw it seems to rise again. Now it is over 40000€ and I have around €54. So I wonder where it is going now.
Neteller has quite some different coins to bet on.

I don't have any crypto. Maybe if I bought crypto in the beginning I would have a lot more money:f_rolleyes:

I played poker with a guy 2 days ago. When I asked what his job was, he said it was that he bought BTC at $8.
He now travels the world, plays Call of Duty, and poker, gambles, goes to strip clubs and showed me a picture with Tom Dwan from Singapore.

That's a nice story and that only with buying crypto.

I pretty much realized early on that bitcoin speculation was a form of currency speculation, which I consider gambling. Since my rule for gambling is "Don't risk money where you have no measure of control", I decided not to participate.

The measure of control in currency trading comes from study — just like poker, sports betting or horse racing.

If you're willing to put in the time and effort, you may see some decent rewards.

Not sure how it's going in Crypto today, but I think you need a lot of experience to get money from it now. It was most likely easy to get money when the hype started.

In the yearly graph on Neteller Bitcoin was at ~ €34k a year ago and now it is ~94k. Especially after Agent Orange was re-elected in this vast area between Mexico and Canada it went up big. Last month alone from ~61k to 94k
I wonder if people are afraid of holding normal currencies now?

it gives hope to people - like, they hope they might get rich - and there are business schools connected to those stock markets that provide some education.

That's a crazy increase. Not sure Trump has influence on the Cryptomarket, because it looks like the USD gets more value if you compare it with the euro the last couple of weeks.
