I have been playing MSS. Years ago I had was winning on Carbon and Lock poker at low stakes over a decent sample but they fucked me on my withdrawal so I quit. I am getting back into it now that ACR has good reviews. I was just wondering if MSS is still working. Over 2k hands I am still winning (22 bb/100) but we all know that is a super small sample size and will probably level out. I do not see many MSS players on the tables and wondered if there is a reason for that? Also seems I will have to adjust to play 6 max as I can only get like two 9 max tables at a time. Thoughts?

in my experience, mss players are usually weaker regs, but i don't see any "conceptual reason" why it should not work if your network allows it...

Got to start somewhere eh? I plan to get profitable at micro 6 max then go down a few levels and learn BSS.

It is a good thing that there are not many MSS players on the tables.
IIRC, MSS was a strategy best used against people playing full stacks, and you were even supposed to leave the table if there were more than (some number) of other MSS players.

I didn't look this up though -- it could have been short-stack strategy that had this restriction

From what I can tell the few MSS players that are here do not follow the guide fully and make big mistakes.

You're right -- I could not find it either -- but it was definitely part of the Short-Stack Strategy

From https://www.pokerstrategy.com/strategy/sss/mss-introduction/
It is important to say that while using this strategy, you should always play on 9-max tables with enough opponents; that is you always sit down at tables where you have 8 other players. The reason for this is mathematical: your profits from this strategy will be optimal when you have enough opponents to play against.

You can still play this strategy against 7 other players, but if at any time the number of your opponents at a table drops to 6 or less (so 7 players total including you), you should get up and look for another table to play at.

???

Thought the opposite is true. Pretty bad security and a ton of bots. I have not heard anything good about them in the last 3 years tbh

They are paying out and I don't see any bots at thebcg tables. All the same regs who chat all day
