Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$1/$2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7:c, A:d.
MP3 folds, CO calls, BU folds, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 5:h, 5:d, A:s (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, CO checks.

Turn: (1.5 BB) 7:s (3 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, CO folds, SB calls.

River: (5.5 BB) J:s (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7.5 BB.

Is my "slowplay" justified? As you can see, I got punished.

I will bet flop because they will peel a lot, because they think you are trying to steal with nothing. If I got raised I will call dawn.

Hi!

People are generaly afraid of Ahigh flops(at least on smaller stakes) therefore I like your flop check. On turn there are many ways to play your hand and is very player dependant. If this player likes to bluff whatever on the river I go for call turn/raise river. If you assume this is the guy who either has something when he bets or that he gives up you should definatelly raise turn.

Main reason for acting so freely is a very small pot on a very dry board where protection is not important but bluff induction is.
