Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$1/$2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A:h, 6:c.
3 folds, Hero raises, BB 3-Bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6 SB) J:c, 6:h, Q:c (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4 BB) 8:c (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6 BB) 2:h (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero ??

Against PokerStrategy TAG.

He took a long time on the river before betting, so I put him on a lower pair like 6x (not very likely in his 3bet range), 33, 44, 55, 77, 99 or 8x. I think against this "timing tell range" I can profitably call with odds of 1:7.

i don't see many bluffhands in his range. well, its BVB and his range might be quite wide but though you could have check/called a J and if your range is farily balanced (which means you don't always checkraise midpair but you also go for c/c 3 times), he can't bluffbet you and he can't really bet with AK vs AT or something. that's too close. with lower PP's like 33 44 55 he would CB. i don't see you ahead in over 1 out of 7 times. i would have folded the river against a tag.
