I should have bet the flop, shouldn't I?

Yes, bet the flop for value and protection against straight draws and weak pairs.

bet the flop yes. multiway no slowplay with a vulnerable hand. even with 55 you should bet. freecard doesn't have to be and you suffer a loss of value. charge them the max by betting. :)
