Days 51-67
Break even again. LOL. The last 17 days have been quite frustrating as you can see by the results. I wasn't able to play much due to some RL commitments and also couldn't seem to win anything. Cool fact: I believe every day I played, I ran below EV. In total I ran approximately $13k under EV during this period. I am not even sure if I am lucky or unlucky this year at this point. Good thing that I lived my life to the fullest during this time and tried some new things , as well as spent a lot of time with people that are dear to me. This week better be really productive because after that I am going away for another week. So I am gonna be really focused and motivated. I've been playing not enough poker for my liking lately.
Total Winnings: $58,667/$100,000
(Day 50 Balance $56,678 + Last 17 days winnings $1,989)
Total Hands Played: 110,428 hands
Days 68 - 86
Its the end of the 3rd month of the challenge and its time to sum things up a little bit. I have been away for nearly 2 weeks in March, so it was more of a relaxing month for me. Nonetheless, I am actually really happy with my volume which is nearly 47,000. I ran very poorly this month and that normally incentivizes me to play more. Generally speaking that is a bad habit, but I actually think its ok as long as I am not slipping to my C game. Anything that motivates you to play more is good I think. 47,000 in 2 weeks is something to be proud of for me to be honest. Gamewise I'm not to happy with how I have been playing lately. I think I have been going into my shell a little bit too much. I think its the natural reaction when you are running bad, and I think I am definetely overdoing it. My stats for the month are 24/18 which is a bit tight for me, but overall a solid style i guess. I really hope something good starts happening to be honest, because its really becoming a grind.
In other news I noticed the HU championship on pokerstrategy and insta registered for it. This year the format is 2-4 tables of cash games, which is a very exciting format! I am hoping to meet some new HU peeps. Best case scenario, I get to play someone like lnternet on NL50. In any case looking forward to it. Chao.
Total Winnings: $61,038/$100,000
(Day 50 Balance $58,667 + Last 18 days winnings $2,371)
Total Hands Played: 142,350 hands
Been doing some 4bet/5bet calculations. If anyone is into this kind of stuff, let me know. We can maybe check results..
I've been watching a lot of Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne replays by the top pros like Grubby, Moon, Sky, TH000, infi, etc. Man, the way those guys play WC3 is really out of this world! WC3 - such a fun game!
mmm the HU Championship draw is up. The format is such that the best player should nearly always win. What if I win?
If I ever learn to play poker as well as Th000 plays WC3, my winrate would be 50bb/100 at the nose bleeds.
This Warcraft game might actually defy some laws of physics....
Warcraft fan YES !
Congrats on your results so far, keep on crushing!
How did your Round 1 go ?
I was supposed to play 2 hours ago, but my opponent didn't come. So I haven't played yet.
I would actually probably qualify as a fish at NL1k HU. I pretty much only play 6-max.
Just found your blog today, its amazing stuff - all this volume. Sick work ethics. Which site are you playing on? Do you have any suggestion's for best site to play 6max micro- low stakes? Thx and gl, subbed.

@serverm07: its actually a Warcraft 3 video. Basically the winning player makes an unlikely comeback against a superior army by playing smart and controling his units like God.
