Woo good day!

@Clawin: Headed to Gujarat in mid feb for a friend's wedding. (Damn, batchmates getting married left right centre! Whatever happened to sleeping around?!) So its imperative that I visit Kutch and Gir. Plans still in the pipeline

Cleaned up the downswing of early month with 2 clean 1st places in 45 mans.
Was heads up against a TAG reg (the only tag i have in my DB, in fact. I suppose I'll meet more along the way) Played pretty solid, and finally called down with K :diamond:8 :diamond: to a 10 BB shove. Second 45 man win of the day!

One weird trend I've been noticing is the tank shove, people keep pulling that shit on me all day. I do a standard BU raise, and then one player tanks and then shoves. Whats the utility behind this anyway? Are they tank shoving monsters or their whole range? Need to understand this shite

Progress:
Starting BR: $250
Session played: 8*$2.4, 5*1.5
2*1st place in the 1.5's. Lost $8 in the 2.4's. Too much gambling happening in the jackpot sng's and im unable to adjust. Perhaps I should move to standard sng's.
Session length: 2h
Total played: 7.5h
Profit: 20.5
Session Points collected: 16 (+10)
Points left = 330
Present BR: $270

Ack, horrible long weekend at the tables. Down about 25 BI's. Running into better cards on bubbles, nothing to do about it.

Sigh. I don't know what it is with these long weekends. They never workout for me either usually. Luckily I didn't play much this weekend.

Flying in to Ahmedabad on a saturday, and planning to go to the Kutch region and Lothal. Have the wedding to attend on thursday, in Baroda, so I have 5 days to travel.

Any recommendations for places to go to?

Cheers,
AB

Hey forum!

@ikkvr: Thanks, man! Heading there in 3 weeks time.

Got frustrated bleeding money to terrible traffic on ipoker. Only those gorram double up games seem to have any traffic at all these days, and those are 20% rake for such a low possible roi, wtf. Bled almost 40$ chasing the gold status and gave up today.

Back to stars now and won back most of my lost money. If I want gold, I'll just buy it. not worth wasting money on poker 770. Let this be a reminder to me. NO MORE IPOKER.

Dam that sucks. :( Why not try unibet? I know maheep plays there. Do you want me to check other sites for you where there is traffic and you can play tracked too?

Hehe, was particualrly pissed off that day. I think I will go back there in a while to try for gold, probably when I want to learn cashgame in a bit.

But for now, stars 45 mans ftw! Want to put in a couple good sessions today. Week has been too hectic, no time for poker.

Lo all!

Took a few weeks off the game to concentrate on other hobbies. Now traveling Gujarat abs witnessed my first big northie wedding. Took a fair bit of money off my friends in some low stakes games as well.

Shall update
Cheers,
Arun

Hello Fine Folks!

Back from my vacation, and I shall be back to online poker with renewed vigor this week.

Had a decent trip: visited the Indus Valley ruins at lothal, chased (wild) ass in the Little Rann and walked up a mile down a beach at low tide to look at marine wildlife at Jamnagar. And the gujju wedding was fab! Makes our southie weddings look tiny and boring, unfortunately.

Made the groom play poker through the night on the eve of the wedding and took a fair penny off him. But hardly a particle in a drop in the ocean that was the lavish wedding.

oh, we're doing a play in RangaShankara in Bangalore on 7:30 pm tuesday, day after tomorrow. Come!

Arun

The amount of Epic gujju weddings are too damn high

@ik: Yeah man, was pretty epic. And supposedly rather normal by gujju standards. I wonder what their out-there weddings are like! *shudder* I saw pics of one with a hollywood squares type grid with a dancing girl in each box.

Back to poker, shall ease into it. Recently I got back into this addictive reading habit from my past, which is really affecting my gambling. Read about 15 books in the last fortnight. Presently reading City & the City (china mieville), Lolita (Nabokov) and A memory of light (sanderson/robert jordan).

Going to stick to $1.5 mans this week adding a $3.5 dollar game into each set. Found a good tool @ http://www.bankrolltools.com/ which classified me as a BRM super nit. Now that NEFT transfers work, I no longer need to be paranoid about depositing.

Present BR: $230
Target for this week: 6x1.5 + 2x3.5 45-man games everyday.
Deposit for and play in the poker770 10k freeroll.

wow! 15 books in fortnight? i cant do it in a 6 months time.

gujrathi weddings are spectacular thing to watch and i watched it one few years back, its celebration, but in south its more of cumbersome thing, pooja and etc and only thing we enjoy about our wedding is shopping. ;)

Welcome back to poker, do well.

Wow, my break was too long it appears, and I have completely forgotten to play.

Mental game at an all time low, and making mistakes constantly. Throwing away cash. Sigh.
