the ol a k trap is a hard one to get away from. actually earlier today on one of the ps freerolls i took two ppl out that had ak in the same hand. one was short stacked and the other about a third of my stack one shoved one called and my read on both was that they were pretty tight and may have had my 10's beat but i kinda thought they both had a k, so i came over the top and got called by the other player as well as the short stack ,and they did.:)

The thazar...thank you...Comfirmation of what I was feeling, that I was actually playing a bit better...nevermind that my BR is sitting at a robust $0.49.
Will be getting on later tonight to see if I can get that up a bit for tomorrow's session 
Will be spending some time reading and watching some articles and vids. Still enormous rooms for improvement.
Real Life stuff now....
Mrs. Founder woke up with a green thumb on Saturday and wanted to plant some flowers in the garden...so we planted ALL DAY!!! It was fun though. The little ones were running around the yard squirting everything in sight with water bottles and hoses. Everyone was very well drenched and laughing and just having one of those Hallmark family moments.
Had a nice Mother's Day for Mrs. Founder. Went to church and then the kids wanted to bake a cake for her. Very interesting. It was a chocolate cake, with white icing, whoppers (malt balls) on top, and chocolate sprinkles all over the top. It was surprisingly good, all be it very chocolaty.
Have some things to settle with a property of ours in the States tonight...hopefully I will be able to put my $0.49 to work tonight, but we will see.

After taking a little break from poker and thinking about the many reasons I was donating my money to people at NL2...I decided to just sit at 1 table. I know, I'm a fish. It is obvious by my consistent losing. Now that I know this, I can begin to do something about it. I am not good enough to play mulitple tables. I cannot take notes on players and my laptop is too small to be able to pay any attention to stats.
Today, I played only 1 table, NL2, FR. I finished at 259 hands with a winrate of 19.88 BB/100. Not a big profit...but I am very pleased that 1. it is a profit...and 2. I actually made good decisions with the information available to me (see the previous post of the best had of the day).
I was able to table select much better today as well. Noticed who I think is another pokerstrategist, due to his play...also, stayed clear of the folks that you need to avoid and attempted to play/sit on the left of the "good" players. Worked out a color code system as well, which helps a ton when deciding to sit at a table or not. Red = sit with....Green = Reg.....Blue = pokerstrategist

When I was holding mid-pair with a J-kicker, I pushed (straight from the SSS strategy)...The villian was more than spewy, as you can tell from his stats, loved playing with him...will be looking for him every time I am ready to sit at a table...

was that you i coolered with those aces? what is you ft handle so i can steer clear or play a table with you? just wondering do you ( since the br is low) play cap games? i know you stand to gain less with bigger hands but the suckouts sting less as well. i find it works pretty good for me now playing at these low levels to be running a cap table and another one (plus tourneys) is easy enough. definately glad to see you rather learn how to walk before running so to speak.

On the topic of depositing money......I am in a unique situation. As you know, I am American, living in Germany. The problem is that I currently do not have a German bank, only multiple American ones. As you already know, American banks and the poker sites have a little bit of a disagreement. It has been suggested that I top up a prepaid Visa or the likes and use that to depost, which I will look into. I am a nit however, but that is not the total reason that I have not re-deposited...it is simply down to logistics

So, my usual quiet poker weekends took a dramatic turn this weekend. It was time for the monthly FSOP tournament. I run the F. Series of Poker. We are in the 2nd year, and it is going very well. We host anywhere from 16 - 32 folks with an average of 25 players. The buy-in is 10 Euro's with the top 3 being paid. There are also points for finishing place and knocking folks out. The player with the most points at the end of the year, wins a nice "Player of the Year" silver bracelet. The monthly winners take home a silicon bracelet with "FSOP 2011" embossed on it, along with the money.
We had 16 players last night, and 4 re-buys. Thankfully, it was the first win for me in my own series!!! Finally the monkey is off my back! Took the tournament, won 90 Euros and the coveted bracelet.
Now, it is time to see if I can talk Mrs. Founder, who finished 5th, into allowing me to place my winnings into my BR...we will see if that works out....
Might get a chance to sit at the tables tonight...again, we will see.
FML! Well, at least I think that is what I am meaning to say.
As I mentioned in the above post, I won my home tournament Saturday night, and collected 90 Euros from the winnings (70 Euro profit for buying Mrs. Founder and me in for 10 Euros a piece). Had plans of getting a prepaid Visa here in the great country of Germany to be able to deposit my winnings onto my Full Tilt account.
Got in my car Monday morning to come to work...Mrs. Founder borrowed it to ferry some of our little ones around this past weekend...and left it completely empty. I had literally 20 miles before I was stranded on the side of the road. Through my work, I have a significant benefit where I can buy gas at a specific gas station and pay American gas prices instead of German prices. (American = $1/liter....German = 1.4 Euro/liter) This priveledge works only if there is money deposited on the prepaid gas card...which there wasn't Monday morning...inquisitive look to Mrs. Founder So I called the card to put money on it while I was pumping the gas.
THE F*#$KING SYSTEM WAS DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!
I immediately stopped the pump, only after putting 72 Euros worth of gas in my car! 72 Euros!!!! Which would have only been like $40....but NO! I failed to plan correctly and ended up using the winnings from my win Saturday night to pay for the gas!
No, I'm not poverty stricken...actually the opposite, I am handsomely compensated for the work that I do and money is not a problem....it is just the principle that I wasted money because I didn't plan correctly and let things progress to the point where I ended up paying the maximum instead of the minimum....
Time to tie it to poker....
One of my biggest leaks is chasing a FD or OESD. Not a bad concept as long as it doesn't take half your stack to do it. Add to the fact that usually I will begin to think, "Well, I'm already commited, eventhough I know I'm beat, the only way I can win the hand is to shove and him fold. However, he is holding at least TPTK and knows that the FD or SD didn't complete so he will call." I shove, he calls, my stack is gone.
I get in my car yesterday morning....*Open pot from CO, 3xBB*
Notice my gas tank is empty....*Called by the BU*
Flop
Arrive at Gas station....picked up a FD
Do I call the card to load it......check
or
Do I start pumping gas and load the card as I'm pumping......Shove
I choose to shove....
Find out the system is down.....BU calls
I cannot load my card and have to pay the German price....
Turn....brick
River.....brick
BU has AA....I have A high, chasing the FD - Stack is gone.
