Well done on getting to the $1.50s and good luck ♠_cool:
Since my last update I have moved up to the $1,5 SnG's as I mentioned last time. I got a really god start, in the first session I played i played 22 games and won about $29, but the two last days I have been really tired and unmotivated when I have played, so I haven't played much but the results have been very bad, so I decided to take the day of today and spend my time on studying instead.
So today I watched the two first 45 man videos by Acoimbra, it was pretty exciting since I was at a final table in the video. I also watched a video by YugiohPro, for some reason I can't get enough of watching his 45 man series. I also read two articles, but it was some pretty basic stuff and I just finished going through a ton of hands in my DB with PokerCruncher and Holdemresources.
So tomorrow I expect to be back at the table with a fresh mindset and ready to crush the game. ♦
My graph at $1,5:

One of my favorite motivation videos, at least he got me motivated! ♦
Well done you are obviously on a heater. What player name do you play as on Pokerstars? Because I would like to rail you. I looked up your name, JCSeerup, on playerscope but there is no Pokerstars data for that name.

Hi JCSeerup! Nice progress and nice attitude!
It`s good you have set goals and it definitely will help you to motivate yourself and get some nice achievements.
My suggestion for you is not to set goals like:
Start playing the $1,5 45man (monthly goal). You never know if you are going to achieve the BRM requirements you need, you might hit downer etc. If it happens it will just frustrate you.
Read/watch wathever material that is related to 45 man sng's. Set measurable goals. For example: Read/watch 3 coaching videos/articles that is related to 45 man sng's. That will commit you to do exact amount you plan doing. You will be more productive.
Live healthier, water instead of coke and eating helthier aswell. Break it down in smaller goals, make it as habits. For example. 1)don`t drink soft drinks; 2)prepare 1 healthy meal every week; 3)don`t eat fast food.
Hope this will be helpful for you.
And if you are interested in self-development, I would suggest you to take a look at SnitzhelFisches productivity guide and watch his coaching videos as well. Amazing studying material there.
Keep up the nice work and you will reach your goals!

I think you are totally right about the goals, I will remember that for next months goals
I haven't read too much of SnitzhelFisches guides, but I have watched some of his videos, and as you mention it's some great material!
Just finished finished a terrible session losing almost 30 BI's, I think I played decent, but I just lost a ton of flips on the final two table where I could have gotten an above avg. stack for the final table, but that is how it is. Just a couple months back I would probably have been all emotional and tilted most of my roll away, but I feel my mental game is much better now.
Yesterday was a sick day though running very well, I played 38 games and won around $38,50, so the swings at this level so far has been pretty sick for me.
At the beginning of the month I wanted to play with a 100 BI BRM, but I'm just don't feel comfortable about it, so I'm gonna move back a limit and play the $0,5 games again until I have 150 BI's for the next level.
So tomorrow I will be back and try to get some good volume and a big score so I can be back at the $1,5 games again in no time.
Current Bankroll: $150,24
To get my mood back now before going to bed I'm just gonna watch some Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, that always cheers me up! ♦
Hey Seerup,
Having watched some of your session the setups and coolers were just not going in your direction. 100BI should be fine but I understand how it feels to have a big swing down, you have made a good choice to move back and pad your Roll before making the move up permanent.
Keep at it, you will crush ♠_biggrin:
Since my last update I moved back to the $0,50 games, as I mentioned in my last update, this has been going pretty well so far, and in the past two days I have played 146 sng's with a nice profit of $31,38. So if I can keep up the volume and the run good, I should be back at the $1,5 games in a few days.
Earlier today I also watched the last part of a YugiohPro series, and everytime I see some of his videos I just feel that I have gained so much information. In todays episode it was about ICM and it really opened my eyes how much a small mistake can cost in the long run, even at the micro stakes it will make a huge difference. Also after starting to study Nash ranges I feel like I have become waaay better in the late stage of the games which I believe have earned me a lot the past couple days.
Current Bankroll: 181,62

Today I also hit a royal flush, which I believe is the 4th this years, which is a pretty crazy amount imo. ♦

Nice work there and a Royal Flush too, someone is looking out for you my friend ♠_cool:
I think having 150 buy-ins is a sensible precaution. As well as moving down should variance hit hard.
I have noticed a few grinders that used to play turbo 45-mans now no longer play them. Eriksgaida springs to mind. He seems to favour normal structure 45/90-mans the last time I searched his details. No more turbos!

I'm really not a fan of non-turbo MTSnG's, the 45 man's cap already at $6 and I believe they are loading even slower than the turbos. It might be possible to get higher ROI's in non-turbos, but they are so much slower that the hourly still will be greater in turbo games.
Just finished for today and it seemed like time to update my blog for the last two day. So the results haven't ben up to standard, but I have still managed to break even which after all is better than losing. So overall the last two days I have played 114 sng's with a profit of $1,36. I were down $18,22 at some point tonight, but decided to use some of my FPP's on Hyper 6-max SnG satellites, I played 10 had a 60% ITM and a $19,8 profit, which saved my day today.
The last two days I think I have been lacking a bit with the studying, I know that I need to look at more spots with Hold'em recourses, ICMIZER and PokerCruncher, in order to improve my game enough to move up to the next level and stay there this time.
I think it's about time I made a February wrap up post, considering were already three days into the new month.
The first month of my bankroll building "challenge" was pretty much a success. I didn't reach all my goal but I have to say that overall I'm satisfied.
The volume this month haven't been quite as high as I hoped before the month, I have played 980 sng's, my goal was to play 40-50 sng's a day which I reached, since I had to take five days off because I got a bad cold and I took a couple days off just to get away from the tables, so overall I played 21 days which gives just above 45 sng's a day in avg.
At the start of the month I wanted to play with a 100 BI BRM, but as I moved up to the $1,5 games I found out that I just wasn't committable with that so I moved back down to the 50c games to build 150 BI's for $1,5's, so at the end of the month I was still playing 50c games, which is a little disappointing but considering I had to win another 150 BI's at 50c games before I could move up I don't take it too bad.
The studying also went really well this past month, I watched YugiohPro's 45 man series along with his 18 man series, which also i very good for final table play in general, considering ICM etc. I also started a study group with some other member on this site, this past month we have mostly gotten to know each others game by watching each other play over screensharer a couple times, hopefully we can get some sweats and HH reviews this month. I haven't found too many articles about 45 man's so if anybody know some you are more than welcome too share them!
My personal goals about getting more exercise and eating healthier haven't exactly been a success I have been focusing a lot on the poker so haven't really had enough free time left to do these things, but now that the winter is (hopefully) ending in Denmark soon I might get to do some outdoor exercises in the near future.

Goals for March:
Poker Goals:
Play 50+ sng's a day
Analyze 25+ hands a day (w/ ICMizer and/or PokerCruncher)
Re-watch 3+ YugiohPro videos a weak (still got much to learn from them)
Other Goals:
Get at least 6 hours sleep a night
Drink less than 3 soft drink a weak
Well done. I have noticed this is your best run playing the 45-mans in your poker career. From a break-even player (as far as I can deduce on playerscope) to a winning player. What change in your game and thinking has caused you to improve? The training videos? Study articles? Whatever it is, it is obviously working. So well done.

TBH I have been a losing player for many years, and just playing for fun and depositing $10 when i wanted to play. I don't think it's because I was terrible at the game, but I didn't use a proper BRM and I didn't play it as a long term game, which I have realized that it is.
All the studying have obv. also helped me develop into a decent player (imo. ♠_biggrin: ) and it's nice to see the results. But the biggest improvement must be that I just keep grinding the same at the same level even if I start getting unlucky and lose, previously I would just have gambled for my entire roll when I got enough bad luck at too high stakes.
That makes sense to me about what you say about bankroll management. I must admit, I am very careful with my money and am a bankroll nit. I thought your earlier 100 buy-ins for turbo was a little bit risky for my liking. But I suppose my recommendation of 300 buy-ins was also a bit over-cautious. It is also good to see that you now realise the importance of having plenty of buy-ins in reserve, and also to drop down if need be. If you keep to that bankroll management strategy you should have a nice sum on Pokerstars in the not too distant future.
Keep on winning!
