This challenge is awsome and I wish you the best of luck. I think you should record some of your sessions to share with us all! At least post a few hands. And when you say you'll die your hair do you mean all of it?! I vote pink on top and green beard.

Grind lower limits MON - THURS, put it all on the line on Fridays. By that I mean take your whole BR to 1 table and crush it.

If you grind well for the MON -THURS play a $2/$4 , $3/$6 or even $5/$10 (so on and so forth) on Friday. Get prepared for the Friday bring your A game and a bag of speed.

To complete this you are going to have to gamble and gamble with coconut sized balls. Make all these non believers eat thier words and shave off your pubes and send them each a piece after you complete the challenge with 4 days to spare!.

BTW just became a fan. Anyone ballsy enough to go for a challenge like this gets my thumbs up

problems with my internet connection reappeared, getting disconnected a lot again, no way i am going to start in these conditions.. pretty sick actually coz i have bought already 3 modems and 1 dsl internet and still losing hundreds of $ on disconnections every week

i have got some info abt 1 other provider from a friend, good it specialist, so lets hope i can get it in ~week..

How is it possible to reach your limits in one year?
What limits did you start at, and how many hours/day have you spent on playing and studying poker?
You can not have been following brm if you started with 50$??

@janusrichmond: my honest guess is that with agressive brm and good work it is possible to move from NL2 to NL1k within ~3months /i ve heard somebody did that already/

i didnt study at all till NL200, i just watched Hasenbratens vids ♦ that was all of my prepartion, never analysed a hand - big mistake. I ve just played a lot and learned from my mistakes.

i started with NL2 in Sept08, by the end of the year 08 everyone around me was against me playing poker so i could only play during weekends mostly, or hiding in cafeterias with net connections sometimes. This brought me to NL50. Then i was starting with NL100 in jan 09, but the biggest change came when in February i got to know the community in here /before i basically never posted any comment and just visited if hasenbraten had some new vid :)/
I have realized at that point i can live of poker so started to play rly a lot (100k hands/ month), but still without studying and played 200 as a very marginal winner, but i won some nice promos along the way which boosted my bankroll. I ve always used a very very conservative bankroll, since i always just wanted to lets say earn 10k, then cash it out.. i wasnt rly thinking i could go on for long time.

Then in March, was a turning point, i started to analyse my game and from a marginal winner i started to crush midstakes 200,400,600 and in august i started with 1k.. /psychologically i am not yet ready for 2k, coz i have some problems now with 1k, the level of game is rly decent already..

with the internet: i should have it installed by tuesday, i wasnt planning on starting any earlier anyways, coz i still need to play just for the feel for the game, since i ve lost much of it by not playing during uni

Are you still multitabling on NL1000? Heard you played 16 tables at NL100/NL200 which sounds pretty sick to me (9 tables at NL5 is enought for me so far..)

Edit: I also think a combo of pink-green if you fail !

i went to my parents flat to try out 1 internet type of connection which works fairly well sofar. Since there is no real time left in this year and i dont want to be delaying it forever, i will start the challenge NOW.

it will last till 31.12.2009 though. so its 35 calendar days, but remember: there will be just partying from 10-14.12 with Gerv, TT, Opal in Austria, Czech Rep, Svk.. /if u dont know abt this: see either Gerv's or monkeymode blog/

also I deffo wont play or play rly rly small on 23-25th and deffo not on 31st or maybe again just till noon at max. So that realistically leaves those 30days/of which i ll take a break for some too definitely/ for playing and i still dont have good internet in my flat so need to spend some days of being cautious when i move back.

During the course of the challenge i ll provide exactly 8 updates:

all around 5AM:

1st: 30.11. Monday;
2nd: 4.12. Friday;
3rd: 7.12. Monday;
4th: 11.12. Friday;
5th:18.12.Friday;
6th: 21.12. monday;
7th: 28.12. monday;
8th: 1.1. as soon as i get sober enough
