[Closed] beating midstakes for 50 000$ in 1 month

changed the blog's name to "beating midstakes" coz i still run so so bad on 1k its not even true

i play fish HU there and they exclussively suck out on me on rivers or win pf for ~50bb with dominated hands or pairs vs their A rag.. since its rly starting to get to me /i mean i am not rly ok with losing almost 3k to some fish in couple of mins/ i ll try to play 1k rly in a limited amount, hence there ll be by far the most 400-600 games and 200s as breathers.. so whole midstakes scope.

2moro i MUST analyse at least 3 good regs coz i know i am getting abused by some.. this must end quickly

hi, i play fullstacked i dont play 200 too much, 400&600 the most and 1k, all game types, usually where fish are. If i play FR I play ~12-13 tabs, SH ~6tabs, HU ~ 3 tabs, also depending on limits tho. With higher limits i play fewer tabs ofc..

yea, i ll play more the days to come, though i wanted to go to spa today /sunday/ .. hmm.. i am not sure, i dont want to start with a too blistering pace which would kill my excitement for poker in general.. and also: it may well be i just play ~20 days or so that would make it even bigger of a feat right? ♦

summary: i played mostly B level of play, i mean, my A is rly rly high, so i know i can play better, i made some silly mistakes /esp in bluffing/

pluses: i have analysed good regs on higher lims, so i have planned my game accordingly

minuses: i have played rly little, coz i usually dont play poker on saturdays too much, this sat i didnt play at all

@haha: almost no swings tbh.. i usually switch from FR to SH and back , sometimes HU in between so the are some steadier parts /usually FR up to 400 or SH200 which are rly soft imo, then bigger jumps are on NL600+ or some HU vs some fish who keeps hitting ♦

SH200 is so easy.. : just move it move it until they adjust, /almost/ nobody ever adjusts tho ♦

had 2 short sessions; 1 SH and one mixed FR & HU; i finally got lucky at 1k, and made +5.3k in 2h :f_cool:; i am almost @ +10k total now :f_cool:..

Wow TLN, I don't think impressed can even describe this. you're already 20% done and still lots of days ahead, and from what I hear, this is far from a heater and it's just your normal you at your A-game. Know for sure you have at least 1 huge fan in me. I think a private coaching with you would be anyones best investment in a NL Poker career. Keep it up, I'm rooting for you! All the non-believers should paint their hair the way they requested you to do so if you didn't make it

comments to those hands in short:

hand 1:

CO is a passive but nervy fish, i have a very crazy image at that table, i ve been picking on him for some time, now i understand he wants to fight back: so he donks.. /its usually sth semistrong, i wouldnt expect him to c/c, c/r his strong hands, or c/c, c/c, c/r even ♦.. ok: so i call flop; turn is a good card for me coz if he had for any reason weak ace now i can credibly rep some 2pair which i easily can have here, like 9Q, AQ .. if he c/minr me here (which i would vs classicall passive fish consider strong but doens make sense after donking flop given history) i am instantly thinking he again tests me if i have sth he has mostly underpair which he wants to show resistance with or very weak A.. so shove it.

hand 2:

1 definition: CO maniac, resp is easy.. i dont have the A so i check, maybe would do even with Ax coz i know he himself raises most of Ax pf; turn and river are easy if i c/c once coz his value range is so incredibly thin that he has never anything here. remark: also helps it is T on turn and Q on river.. if it was vice versa it would be a bit more difficult coz maybe once in a moonmonth he can vbet rag Qx 2 more times but he wouldnt do so with T i dont think and if these ppl hit on rivers 2nd pairs they usually cbehind coz suddenly from air they have sd value.

hand 3:

BTN is some regular halfstacking, no history, but i know these midstackers they always want to apply pressure by betting so that u should feel u re committed.. so ok, show me pls! ♦ .. flop: i float with intention of keeping all his air in being better many times + have the chance to (re)bluff turns like that..

now turn is good coz its an overcard and he bets that with all his air, which is exaclty what i wanted for c/rr, coz he may even fold weak 9x here thinking i can never bluff here with him being committed..

hand 4:

weak reg tag fish massive multitabler.. --> float any flop, any turn, overbet any river .. /ofc not A highs/ easy ♦ in the heat of the action he only sees his other cards at other tables and doesnt /cannot care..
