Not always daily quads and full houses ....
variance brings you either sweets or turns your session sour. Well, my today´s session could be described as pretty sour, when just looking at the cards. But it wasn´t really! Yes, I was 2 hours pretty much card-dead, missed most of the boards completely, but I enjoyed it anyway. I know you can´t always hit every flop and cannot always get AA, KK or AAKKds
The most important thing was to keep patient, not to make bad calls, not to play hands just because of the urge to "play at least something".
So, I was mostly folding or missing the flop completely. CG at those limits (NL2, PLO2) is all about waiting for the right moment to strike: either to win a stack with a big hand by value betting or by bluffing (sometimes). And sometimes, while fun-players call your value bets, they may hit their miracle card. That happened today while a fun-player called me down while I held TPTK and eventually hit their 2-outer on the river.
In PLO I just somehow "survived" by getting some small pots, no big hand - at least not for me. Today, I won only ONE single big pot in Holdem with aces up, that was it. Most of the time I was folding patiently!
Eventually, after two hours, I was one stack down: -1,85 €, which is a good result under those circumstances.
More luck next time?
