I don't plan on playing any SnG's again anytime soon, sticking to SSS until I master it! But thanks for the tip.

I did mine with HEM manager but you will get the same effect. It looks nicer and is a lot easier to follow for the reader. Let me know if you want me to delete this long post off off your blog and just leave the opening.
Best of luck, I hope you make it through the limits, when I first got here I played the SSS and really enjoyed it, but it is becoming harder to find rooms to play at so when you feel a bit more confident I'd recommend looking at the BSS as the SSS route can also be very much like a rollercoaster in terms of variance also.
I don't know if I'm being simple, or if perhaps PokerTracker restricts some features during the trial, but I can't find a way to do this. Would I be better off with Holdem Manager?

I won't post any hands until I get this PokerTracker/Holdem Manager problem sorted out, because I'm guessing they don't make a lot of sense the way I've been posting them...
So this post is just a brief review of my last few days playing, and covers every session since I started blind stealing. As the results at the bottom show, it's not been the most successful spell of poker ever, but hopefully that's to be expected when I'm trying to learn a new part of my game. Also, I had a really dry run of cards when I won only one hand in 600! It was late on Friday night, and everyone was playing very loose, calling and raising with everything, so I just sat tight waiting for a good hand to come so I could take their money, and the cards never came. The one hand I won was with AQo, which doubled me up. But for 600 hands, no high pairs, no AK, basically nothing the starting hands chart would let me play! If it hadn't been for blind stealing it could have been a much worse result!
The blind stealing itself is going well, and hopefully when I can add that to some decent cards forming winning hands, I might win a session!
But for now, I'm happy that my game is improving, and I'll try again today and hopefully get some better results...

Good luck with it. A lot of patience is required if you start it when on a downswing! I've played around 6000 hands now of SSS exactly by the rules, and I'm down around 230 big blinds! Hopefully the upswing will start soon...
I'll have a look at your blog later, I'm always interested to read about fellow short stackers!

The plan is to buy the licence out of bonus, so that I leave my poker winnings to build my bankroll. But at the moment I'm using the bonus to cover my losses, so I need to start winning first. Still got 50 days left on the trial to save up the cash.
Mine is a trial, I use HEM most of the time... You just need to go to PT3 and download the latest version. It won't affect your database

I've finally got PokerTracker working properly with the new update! Thanks for your help everyone.
I only played a short session in the morning yesterday as I was too tired to play last night. It was my best session yet though! In an hour, I doubled up on 7 of the 8 NL10 tables open on Everest, so for the last 10 minutes or so I could only have 1 table open. I ended up getting bored so had to stop!
The only big hand I lost in the whole session was when I lost a stack with AA to AK when they hit their flush on the river. That was my first big loss with AA, so it stung a bit.

Sessions like yesterday make me regret my choice to play on Everest, because there's rarely more than 8 or 9 tables of NL10 running, so if I have a good spell I have to stop because I run out of tables. Which I suppose is an example of why I need to learn BSS at some point. But one thing at a time...
I had another good run of form yesterday. I'm definately enjoying this good run of cards while it lasts (although I hope some of the improvement in results can go down to my increasing skill...).
I played 2 sessions yesterday, one in the morning (between 9.30 and 11.30 seems to be a pretty lucrative time on Everest, you see some crazy plays!) and one in the evening. It was the busiest evening I've seen on Everest so far, and there were around 20 NL10 tables open all evening (there's usually only about 10), so I got to select my tables which I think helped.
I played around 750 hands, and only lost 1 all in. I know this is partly down to luck, but I hope it's also to do with my new found ability to fold a hand! Like in this example:

As it turns out, I would have won the hand had I called, but these are just the sort of situations that were getting me into trouble last week when I was consistently losing. As far as I'm concerned, I don't see how I can call 2 all-ins with only a pair of nines. Surely more often than not at least one of them has a higher pair than me, then I'm in trouble. I've also posted this hand in the hand evaluation forum, but any feedback on here would be really welcome too.

I snap called his all in on the river because I'd decided on the turn that I had the best hand. If I'd have taken 10 seconds to look at the board properly, I wouldn't have called. This is the first one of these silly mistakes I've made in the last few days, but they're so costly when they happen that I need to eliminate them from my game completely. Just for the record, I think I should have gone all in on the turn, but part of me also thinks a fold would have been good. Folding a straight would take some effort though...

The idea is to use Skype to communicate and Teamviewer or Mikogo to share screens, and one of us plays and we discuss how to play. Then we swap. I tried this on SnGs once this month, and it was OK, although my internet was playing up. That's my only experience, so it'll be the blind leading the blind. Have to wait until after my hols though.
