Hey man, I think opening KJo is fine UTG. For me the the big mistake is raising the bet on the flop.
If the opponent is a reg. The pot size donk from SB is extremely strong. I expect TP medium kicker to often be dominated here. So would not look to raise =)

I think it is important to have hands like KTo-KQo in your UTG range -- but not always.
I haven't yet come up with a suitable way to filter out when I'll play them and when not to play them.
If you want to play them 1/6 of the time, you could play them when they're both "black" -- ie clubs and spades

A lot depends on your image, too.
If you are normally really tight, you can "steal from UTG" just by open raising.

It is also useful to play more speculative hands when you're deep

ok usually im like: there's some fish on the blinds, let's open more loose, i wanna play against them. but when I do it few times, then I start to fold more or they start to play back... and people like to 3bet if you always open

yes yes complete misread I was hoping for a flushdraw. so call flop fold turn right? I thought I cannot fold flop and he might be on flushdraw, that's why I raised.

opponent was a fish, not a reg.

SO I am launching a local blog/youtube+facebook to local people in Estonia about my poker career in Estonian, this really helps me to communicate my inner worlds to them, thus crossing the bridge between us, creating understanding and harmony. It will be very successful. I really enjoy doing that, I feel like poker coach around here... well I was a coach in FLHE for a year or something...

So yes somehow I need to put this worlds together and communicate to them, to people, my family, relatives, friends, what I'm doing. Then they can tune in better to my vibration, help better understand more and communicate better. I really now enjoy this communication part of the blog, it really makes me happy

When he checks back, it shows to me he has Ax or something.. anyway, he has missed the board or wants to get cheap showdown and will fold after this flop checkback.

Yeah, this also could be a small pocket pair, but definitely the right play to bet the turn.

What is your plan if he raises the turn bet?
-- or just calls it?

well if he raises, sure I have to fold... and if he calls, I can decide if I want to fire the river. I think if he calls he can have some sort of Jx or Tx... so depending on the river I need to think if he will fold these... he looked weak tight

Was just thinking... why not trust your postflop experience against weaker players... So the idea behind calling preflop instead of 3betting, it is more +EV if I know how to play good poker postflop. I somehow like this idea in scenarios like this.

worrying about my winrate and then hand like this happens.. that I actually have edge in these games.. if i play good and wait for spots like this, should be solid +EV long-term. now starting playing online poker NLHE 6max cash at least 4hours a day my professional poker career.

Nice!
Good that you can get his 66 BB now -- he won't be playing poker for long...

How nice of him to check the river.
Good on you for not betting it!

Elsewhere in the last couple of days, I read a post from a player who has ramped down the aggression for TPTK hands.

Cheers,

Well yes, weaker Tx is probably not calling anyway, flushdraws no need to bet against, afraid of possible Jx... But yea I am quite used to Fixed Limit where all of your money comes from those river bets and people look you up with King high
