Strong success at current level (up to €0.10 buy-in); had a bonus $2.20 Snowball ticket at PokerStars and won +$1.38 with knock-outs.

Made a plan to get to €2000 bankroll in 2037 to play NL2 then (~11 years); for that I need to save about 15€/month. I have never tried saving money before in my life. Both girlfriend and father don't want a sub-zero Buddhist risky adventure, so out-of-society fighter would be too high risk. Looks like an awesome gaming adventure!

Current BR: 170€

Yes! It's the best thing in the world! Same as meat alternative vegan "meats"! Super super yummy!

Caution with those, Taavi!!! They are full of additives!!! Please take a look at the (long) list of ingredients!! Not exactly healthy stuff! :rage: But you can make your own "fake meat" from lentils, beans or chickpeas instead! But I would strongly recommend to avoid those factory-made "fake meats", because they are full of chemicals (preservatives, additives, sugar, colorings, flavor inhancers) - let them be just special occasion foods. :f_wink: Go for natural, whole foods instead! :f_thumbsup:

I have sold them to people on fairs in a trusted company that was from Latvia. :f_biggrin:

Such a great idea!

Just got results from last business year, turns out my company sold video games for 1776€. (99,5% of this was gamedev workshops)

Had a long break and new year party till now, now I can smoothly get back to work that I really love after this long ~1 month rest. I really love building homepage (finished and opened a new career section today about career in video game developing); I also feel I can finally continue writing the main video game that I write for 1,5 years that is ~60% ready.

Poker-wise I love the edge I have at nanostakes at NLHE; super happy to play from time to time. Feels like: "I will do more when stuff gets sorted out"; but in sports it doesn't ever actually get sorted out by itself... But trying to earn more trust in relationship has led me towards more in the direction of co-sports; ~with kids on the snowhill, running in town to bring kids books back to library; buying 10kg of fruits for family...

Trying to make good long-term training plan for NLHE. Currently at €0.10 SnG buy-in level. I should take training more seriously, create a regular grinding habit. One option would be to buy Silver status for $50 and go at slow good pace, to create solid foundations for NLHE. But I want to buy it with the intention of actually starting the long-term training and putting in the volume. No data, no results = no knowledge. I think I will just buy this training plan for $50 after two weeks (on February 6), when the government money (about 370€) arrives. Feels much better option than just sitting around and worrying. I have a lot of income from business (€300+/month), but it has given very good results when I gave this money to girlfriend. So I will keep doing that, buy the $50 training plan, and go for it. This means maybe less restaurant visits in February, but we will also go to Gran Canaria island at end of February for two weeks and she buys everything. Training plan set, I will go for it.

Got smarter at GDD (game design document) course. The thing is, I have a really big pre-prototype (platformer with art of kids); but it won't be developed to prototype.

Will go on with reading; and playing my favorite game - online poker.

Taavi, according to the latest research:

Cow Dung as a Superfood – An Integrative Approach to Human Health Benefits

Recent studies on unconventional dietary sources have highlighted the potential of Bos taurus excrement (cow dung) as a novel nutritional supplement. This study systematically evaluates the biochemical composition, microbiota profile, and potential human health benefits of processed cow dung. Our findings indicate that cow dung contains an optimal balance of prebiotic fibers, essential micronutrients, and beneficial microbes, suggesting its application as a functional superfood.*

The search for novel superfoods has traditionally focused on plant-based or marine sources. However, limited attention has been paid to excrement-derived nutraceuticals, despite their long-standing historical use in certain agricultural and traditional medicinal practices. Cow dung, rich in cellulose, microbial diversity, and trace minerals, represents a promising candidate for human health promotion. Here, we investigate its composition and propose potential mechanisms for its systemic benefits.

Lol this reminds me of an 8-year argument with a 70-year-old woman, that ended with a fist fight and moving the families separate 🤣🤣👍

Already preparing for the training that I start on February 6th; could put in a nice session from 6am until 7:30am + watching some old coaching video.

Could pull off a nice victory in 0.10€ DoN Sit'nGo for a sweet +0.08€ finally. Turns out that I have put too high skill goals and expectations for myself, such as: "should be able to play perfect NLHE". My NLHE is actually quite solid enough, and it is a good idea to turn towards "joy of gaming". I have had big mindset lessons during last two sessions, last one on 26th January was: "getting too much influenced by very small losses, should just grind on".

Grandpa: *has a shed full of a specific newspaper, every number since 1988*
Girlfriend's mother: *has a shed full of few thousand copies of her own book that she printed in 1995*

Old people rock! 😏❤️🤟

January super nice results, +1,19€ at 0,10€ buy-in level. All the reasons to celebrate!

Already looking forward to February, I will start the long-term online poker training on February 6th, buying yearly Silver status for $50. Already feeling super motivated!

Business-wise, the month is also ending today with the last big gamedev workshop of the month; in total I should cash +360€ for 11 hours of work this month. Yesterday I really enjoyed the gamedev workshop, enthusiastic for the first time.

Replaced the main solo gamedev with poker career, feeling happier. Solo dev is nice, but people don't want it that much and it also hits alot of walls. So I'm gonna just throw in few pre-prototypes sometimes, not really planning to complete a whole big game alone any more.

Also spotted one main thing in business plan: business clients are mainly "achievers". This means I shouldn't much compete with them there and "steal the show", but rather stay as teacher, supportive coach and "bench player, handing a towel". This works better as otherwise they even attack the scary competitor.

All the best, railing for your success!

Some kids went to 5+ age category to experience something more familiar. I am surprised, how do these unknown game masters do 5+,6+,7+,8+ age categories so well and accurately? I'm often like: these are all kids, let's roll. But these masters are somehow very successful in very accurate age category games and toys 👨‍🏫📚

2024

Unemployment center: "We will give up to 6000€ to all new entrepreneurs."
Me: "Give me 3000€ to buy 6 touch-sensitive laptops to make gamedev workshops for kids."
UC: "That's too high risk. No."

So I quit UC, took out retirement funds for 1.3k€ and bought 10 used laptops for 1k€. Now that "coinflip" has made me like 2000€ in 5 months (gamedev workshops for kids). Poker player is willing to take those chances where normal person backs out.

Another massive win for +18 BI as I got a free €1 ticket and could take down a pretty bad aggressive player who for some reason tablestarted €1 FLHE HU SnG.

Added new habit of "ashtanga yoga Sun Salutation + japa mala meditation" in the morning. Also as the locals are "fighting back" with mobile devices against the gamedev business success; it is good time to turn to "static poker at home". Online poker is something familiar that I have already done for many years, also I really really love that game.

I found that Bankroll Management is a really good skill to have. It really is one of the skills of a poker player. For example, I am currently playing up to 0.10€ buy-in stakes (1000 buy-in Bankroll Management); and this does mean that I just got 3000 buy-ins from gamedev workshops. This money goes to girlfriend for many reasons, but it is a really good feeling the Bankroll Management, and yes, one can use it for any stakes.

Can't wait for the unemployment center money (about 370€) to arrive on February 6th, will try to buy Silver content for a year, that content looks super exciting!

Quit solodev (mostly because of Carmageddon: Rogue Shift release date approaching); this means I only continue as teacher in gamedev. My fan club in schools is already waiting for Wednesday and Thursday workshops!

I hope giving this workshop money to girlfriend (gave 300€/month the last 3 months to her) bought me some freedom to play some online poker. Planning to learn and play up to 0.10€ buy-in level (on iPoker and Partypoker) until I reach €200 bankroll on savings account. Then I include 0.20€ buy-in level also.

Also will do gaming more, probably play some Runescape soon

Recovering from 1-week fever. Didn't manage to buy Silver status, it said "jurisdictation" I hate that word... Gaming lower and on my own then.
