Pretty good night tonight. Happy with my play in general, especially since there were 2 TAGs hogging most of the tables. Lucky for me, stars has good traffic in my playing time. There's some spots I'm gonna focus on tomorrow when I analyse tonights session, ones where as soon as hand was over, I knew I played it stupidly.

Oh well, +90BBs is pretty good for 1007 hands I think :P
Good night

PS. Hopefully find this guy again:

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q:c, Q:s.
MP3 folds, CO raises, BU calls, SB folds, Hero 3-Bets, CO caps, BU calls, Hero calls.

Flop: (12.5 SB) 5:c, 8:h, Q:d (3 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, BU calls, Hero raises, CO 3-Bets, BU calls, Hero caps, CO calls, BU calls.

Turn: (12.25 BB) T:h (3 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, BU folds, Hero 3-Bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

River: (20.25 BB) A:d (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero 3-Bets, CO caps, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 28.25 BB.
Results follow:

Hero shows three of a kind, queens(Q:c Q:s).
CO shows a pair of aces(A:s J:s).

Hero wins with three of a kind, queens(Q:c Q:s).

Well last night was a real test of 'tilt control' and 'variable recognition'. Sets getting rivered, AA cracked etc. BUT...I'm not to worried for two reasons:
1) I didn't reach my stop loss and
2) I didn't tilt or get angry.
I was questioning my play until I did a session review and was quite happy with my overall play. Then I remembered Taavi telling someone to look at their "all hands" graph after a bad session/down swing, and sure enough I felt alot better.
Not playing online tonight, gonna play some live pineapple CG with the missus and a mate, so will be back tomorrow to gut and smoke

;( ;( ;( ;( ;(

Had to sell my beautiful Holden VR Commodore yesterday as cost of running/repairs are just outta my budget ATM. No more long highway blats, or having fun on rainy days on West Auckland streets. It is a 'lil bit of a sad atmosphere in the house ATM, as we are both Holden lovers. (our son is named after one, Calais)

Bye beautiful

BB is a looser TAG who's fairly cautious post flop for lack of a better word, so wasn't expecting him to turn over this:

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with A:d, J:d.
Hero raises, CO calls, BU folds, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 9:d, 7:s, J:c (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, CO calls, SB calls, BB 3-Bets, Hero calls, CO folds, SB calls.

Turn: (9.5 BB) T:s (3 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero folds.

River: (11.5 BB) 2:h (2 players)
SB bets, BB calls.

Final Pot: 13.5 BB.
Results follow:

BB shows a pair of tens(K:s T:d).
SB shows a pair of nines(9:c K:c).

BB wins with a pair of tens(K:s T:d).

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

What an awesome weekend! My mums 50th on saturday, lots of drinks with family I hadn't seen in a long while. Sunday, live pineapple CG while drinking pinot gris.

As for poker, not too good. 93 BB down over ~2400 hands. When I review though I'm finding around 75% of the big pots are just villains catching he river on me whether it's flushes or whatever. Still not much of a downswing but still frustrating when I do session reviews.

Still got a fair few BB to loose before I have to drop down so still gotta give it my all. I also have my TAF money I haven't cashed out yet which I might soon to give me a bigger roll, and contemplate taking a shot at $0.25/0.5. Not sure yet, gonna play another 5K hands or so.

Here's 1 of the many hands I talk of:

CO= 87/9/1.7

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J:c, Q:s.
MP3 folds, CO calls, BU folds, Hero raises, BB calls, CO calls.

Flop: (6 SB) 6:d, Q:c, 3:c (3 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, CO calls.

Turn: (4 BB) A:s (2 players)
Hero bets, CO calls.

River: (6 BB) 6:s (2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10 BB.
Results follow:

Hero shows two pairs, queens and sixes(J:c Q:s).
CO shows three of a kind, sixes(6:c 7:s).

CO wins with three of a kind, sixes(6:c 7:s).

Novembers pretty much nearly over already!? Dam that was quick. Don't think I'll be playing last 2 nights of nov. so I'll update now.

Got all the kids Xmas prezzys sorted so I beat the mad rush of dec. (I hate xmas, until the BBQ'n'beers with the boys xmas day/evening).

Poker wise I'm pretty happy with everything. Very swingy, but I guess thats what happens when you forget your ABC's. Finished up and nearly achieved all my goals ( will be finishing study goals tomorrow night instead of playing).

I'm getting way better with these:

He 3bets every hand so I never give him credit preflop

Preflop: Hero is SB with J:d, K:d.
Hero raises, BB 3-Bets, Hero caps, BB calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 5:h, 9:d, 9:h (2 players)

Turn: (6 BB) Q:d (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (8 BB) 4:s (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 10 BB.
Results follow:

Hero shows a pair of nines(J:d K:d).
BB shows a pair of nines(8:s J:h).

Hero wins with a pair of nines(J:d K:d).

And these :P

I don't think its to bad, but here's my first session in Dec. Around 850 hands just got fucked by lady luck for about 15 min. at least I finished up

Next post gonna think of some goals. Will probably be similar to last months, maybe a few extras

TY dude. I took your advice in alot of aspects, like table selecting etc. Plus I think I was on heater mode for the first 7K hands or so. And I also have an awesome challenge now: 800+ BB :f_cool:

Beers 'n BBQ's bro. Thats how beautiful our great city's been.

I'm really contemplating moving up next time I play. I just wanted to play a certain number of hands at $.1/.2 first, seen as I rushed through $.02/.04 and $.05/.1 (unbelievably fishy/easy I really have to say _cool:). I wasn't even on the latter limit a week and I was rolled enough to move up _p:

I did have a +>100BB in < 1500 hands session on tues. night where I felt I was playing A+ poker, able to count my mistakes on 1 hand (exaggerate much). So that made me feel confident about leaping into $.25/.5.

I've been slack on study and revision this week so I've told myself at least 2 vids with >a page of notes, and 5 articles focusing on playing draws and the mathmaticle aspecs.

We got our 'chriscoes' the other day, including a sexy looking alcohol pack and an overflowing pantry and freezer. So me thinks I'll do a few hours studying today, 'lax out with a drink tonight, and hit the table tomorrow night.

Have a good weekend all

Playing $.25/.5 now, didn't start off too good but slowly bringing it back.
Here's a glimpse of what is eating my roll ATM. Right reads, just unlucky.

Villain only donks on draws or overcards, and X/R made hands so when he donks this turn I know I'm good:

Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.25/$0.5 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BU with 9:d, 9:c.
2 folds, Hero raises, SB folds, BB 3-Bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.4 SB) 4:d, 2:s, 4:h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

Turn: (5.2 BB) Q:s (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls.

River: (9.2 BB) A:h (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 9.2 BB.
Results follow:

BB shows two pairs, aces and fours(A:s T:s).
Hero shows two pairs, nines and fours(9:d 9:c).

BB wins with two pairs, aces and fours(A:s T:s).

Like I said thats just a glimpse. Also I think I need better study habits. Not feeling motivated for the most part as I don't know if my study methods are productive. Taavi or TB, if you read this can you tell me what a typical study session involves for you guys, I really need/want to improve. ?(

I just mark hands during the session that I'm not 100% sure I played right, then you can equilab that shit, if you still don't know after that then put it on the forums.

Regarding study cards, you can use it for FL or chemistry or anything, the program is called "mnemosyne", go download it and check it out.
