Not bad since im only playing tree fiddys. I feel like i play even better than i was 2-3 months ago, so im def gonna move up to $7 next session. Its also really good to be making some solid money after a long time playing micro cash. Im quite happy with the sample size, but i cant rly expect to have like 1k+ games in a month because of school.
And about my study of math, im almost certainly going to fail. I need to score 10 pts in a semester, i have 1 (which is a big success for me btw), we have 3 tests left and max score for one test is 3 points. So im sorry jb, you'll remain the only math teacher here forever. ♦

So i guess that trying to learn a bit of FR stuff helped me a ton. Esp understanding positions better, playing very tight from early and very loose from late.

Im thinking about switching to only mtts.. I rly feel like i have a rly big edge over a most players and even though the variance is rly rly sick, its a lot more fun than regular sngs. I think my FR game has improved significantly in past couple of weeks and i feel very confident that i can make a lot more than in sngs.

imo a clear fold preflop with 55 OOP, you can't setmine with opponents stack and 55 plays quite bad
I dont think so.. With the structure of this particular tournament (i was like 6th in chips and had only 35bbs) and with the bounties, i think calling here isnt a mistake since you rly need to start gambling at some point.. And at this stage of the tournament (around 350 players left, 690 made money), i really want to play pots with people who have this many chips, so i can accumulate a lot of chips and put myself in a good position to make a deep run.
Plus the hand doesnt play too bad, people dont play very aggro and wont put you in tough spots.. They just cbet and thats pretty much all they do if they miss.
I think it's actually very very bad call preflop. Think it's almost definitely a rather big leak. I mean ur kind of lucky here getting 12:1 implieds, coz u might manage to breakeven provided u dont spew postflop when u dont spike a set, but honestly it's just a big leak imo.
Probably couldn't think of any worse hand to call in SB vs UTG1 raise to play postflop, not getting the correct odds to setmine. It has no postflop value in this scenario whatsoever, muck and be happy about it imo.
Yea i agree that in a regular tournament it would for sure be a fold 25bb eff deep.. But i just dont think its that wrong to call in this particular one, with bounties and such a fast structure. It's rly close imo. Btw what kind of range would you defend from sb here?

bounties mean nothing i'd say, they just mean that you might get a bit more action when you do flop a set, i'd say i'd call with 15:1 implieds, not less. so totally agree with fusionpk.
my defending range would be really tight here, because everything plays quite bad, and about the gaining chips, rather do a lot of light 3bets IP and in general, play IP

Had a kinda frustrating day.. Busted once on money bubble, once on FT bubble and once as the first one on FT cuz i obv didnt win a flip.. Esp this one makes me rly sick, because i was chipleader for a long time, then made some mistakes and came to FT as 2nd shortstack.. Then in like 5th hand i bust. ♠_cry: I dont honestly know how i didnt win a faking thing today, i run pretty hot, played really really well and all i get is 19th, 10th and 6th place for like $170 profit.
But i have to say that i'm very happy with the way my overall mtt game (esp my 8-9 handed) is improving, feel like i could be rly successful in this in future.
stick to mtt stt are shitty few fish few roi. have a base game of 180's then when you have more money then you know what to do with take shots at bigger variance games, really only sure way to become a mtt pro without luckboxing. Play more tables to raise your hourly your not gonna get much better 4 tabling and anaylsing your play at under 10$ tourneys. Your going to average say 30% roi 4 tabling instead of 28% 20+ tabling and it helps the variance
