Finally a run good session! Was playing solid throughout the session. Played for 3h overall, and a had a little break in between. Prior starting my session I did some thinking on my cbetting and made slight adjustments and everything went very good. Happy about the results and the game.

This one is against unknown. I didn't know how properly play ott by the way, I hold a monster though I know. However should I raise the turn with intention to get it in or flat is even better? Because he is not really folding I guess if I raise based on board texture. So call is better I guess. River standard obviously.

Update #9 - Weekly results

Hello guys,

I want to note that my grinding week was really good in the end. I play 17,755 hands and finished the week 8.5bb/100! Yaaas!

Pretty good result in my opinion, haven't ran so well in ages. My poker game is improved a lot lately and it just makes me happy.

How much does the level op play differ between nl2, 5 and 10? I haven't played at 10 yet but from what i've seen the difference is just that at nl 5 people aren't actively try to give you their money, they're just playing not good

There is not a big difference between those three levels. The difference begins preflop, as you move up each level players tend to be more loose and aggressive preflop. Postflop is really player dependent and you will need to look up for tendencies in order to exploit. But in general, if they are aggressive preflop they will be postflop and vice versa. On NL10 I think you will see a little bit more thinking players, but mostly they are multi-tabling robots and play very ABC.

This. Most regs on NL10 that I've played against are incredibly straightforward and exploitable. They're pretty easy to play against, to be honest. Of course they have a better understanding of the game than the fishes, but it's not that big a deal to play a pot against most regs. Most of them will happily hand you some money

True that! Some of the regs even play like Tom Dwan, which is super EV+ to play vs them!

Hey guys,

Started this week with a slight profit. Nothing special at the moment. I am forced to face some runner runner action vs fishes and I don't get payed off in spots where I should be most of the time. But I am in good spirit anyway!

Also having some busy week with University, sorting some stuff and studying for my modules. I picked this Semester to study Information Strategy and Knowledge Management and they seem to be very interesting so far. I hope this will continue like this. However I haven't got a supervisor yet for my dissertation and the module leader doesn't want to respond to me e-mails for some reason.

Haven't posted much lately because been really busy with stuff, but did manage to put in some volume in poker. Took my first shots at NL25, kinda good and bad. Gonna wrap up my September results in this post.

So NL10 was easy to beat actually. As long as you keep the stuff simple, your results simply increase.

Tips for NL10 grinders: Value bet big drawy boards, bet smaller dry boards for bluff. Bet big still on dry boards big hands. They like to call you know.

Pleased how I changed my game on NL10.

Took my first shots and have played almost 10k hands. The worst part of it is that I was playing bad. That's why my redline is so shit right now, I was making some plays which I really shouldn't and I know that. So I am focusing on my adjusting on NL25. I need to make slight changes in my approach.

General thoughts on NL25. The game is still basically the same as NL10, however preflop game gets a little more aggressive. More 3bet/4bet bluffs. A lot of players are happy to get it in AQo pre. Well it is a good thing right?

Gotta improve a bit my thought process and my focus. If I lose my focus my redline just gets smashed because I start to play blinds aggressive which is just plain dumb. But oh well, we learn when we make those silly mistakes.

I am pretty sure that I need just couple more days and I will start crushing NL25. I just need to gather more information on the villains and extract their tendencies. Then it is run good time.

In the upcoming days I think I will make a post regarding my approach to cbetting, where I will discuss cbetting certain hands vs different villains of various board textures. Stay tuned.
