I kept playing, and over time, clawed back most of what I had lost.
It is easy to see where in this giraffe the hand above occurred.

I Don't Often Complain

but this is getting ridiculous.
I have now dropped 7 PLO8 buy-ins in December — mostly to things like this.

888Poker, Omaha H/L Pot Limit - $0.02/$0.05 - 9 players

UTG: $19.39 (388 bb)

Flop: ($0.22) A♦:4♠:4♥: (4 players)
BB bets $0.11, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $0.11, LP calls $0.11

Turn: ($0.55) T♥: (3 players)
BB bets $0.27, Hero calls $0.27, LP folds

River: ($1.09) T♠: (2 players)
BB bets $1.09, Hero calls $1.09

Total pot: $3.27 (Rake: $0.19)

Showdown:

Seems Unlikely

However, with a potential bounty available, and less than average stack, I though I'd take a punt.

PokerStars, $2.94 + $0.36 - 2-7 Single Draw No Limit - 125/250 (60 ante) - 6 players

UTG: 14,280 (57 bb)
MP: 987 (4 bb)
CO: 13,394 (54 bb)
BU: 11,589 (46 bb)
SB (Hero): 4,492 (18 bb)
BB: 3,000 (12 bb)

Deal: (735) Hero is SB with 3♣:8♣:3♥:7♠:5♦:
1 fold, MP raises to 500, CO calls 500, 1 fold, Hero calls 375, BB 3-bets to 2,940 (all-in), MP calls 427 (all-in), 1 fold, Hero calls 2,440

Draw One: (7,667) 8♣:3♥:7♠:5♦:A♥: (3 players, 2 all-in)
SB (Hero) draws 3♣:, BB draws 1, MP stands pat

Total pot: 7,667

Showdown:
BB shows T♣:7♣:4♣:A♣:T♦: (a pair of Tens)
MP shows 9♣:Q♣:J♦:T♥:9♠: (a pair of Nines)
SB (Hero) shows 8♣:3♥:7♠:5♦:A♥: (A-8-7-5-3)
SB (Hero) wins 7,667

So two bounties — nice. Now all I need to do is cash to be in profit. One more bounty to be freerolling

I originally wanted to play my first tables of the year today, didn't get around to it in the end. If I had, I'm sure this would have been a nice rail.

Thanks!
I did cash, but only 2nd tier, losing to a better pat 9 all in pre draw.

That's so sick...

And yes, sometimes it seems like it always happens to certain players. I remember it in SNGs too.

Day 1 Went Well

I'm not so sure I am cut out for this though
I played each game individually, and I used the tactics I learned playing $0.25 freebies on GGPoker[1]
So $4.80 in progress points, $40 in winnings, and a $5.00 ticket for tomorrow.

[1] The VorpalF2F Spin & Go rules:
:diamond:  I have no idea what GTO looks like for $5 spins.
:diamond:  Never go out first. This is tough if you get 3Bet (or 4Bet) preflop holding a premium hand and get sucked out on.
:diamond:  No limping — rarely, if ever, overlimp. Raise or fold.
:diamond:  Minimize flat calling when 3-handed. I restrict flat calls to 22 — 88 range hands, sometimes suited broadways lacking the Ace.
:diamond:  When heads-up, flat call wider OOP, then...
:diamond:  When behind, play stop-and-go when OOP. Flat pre, then jam if you get any part of the flop.
:diamond:  When heads-up open raise very wide in position, folding if necessary.

It's Not What You Have That Matters

It is more what you could have in the end
Opponent almost certainly has a set of Kings, so I was surprised that their flop equity was so low. I have a wrap, and I was also surprised that my own equity was so low. Mistakes aside, I'll take it
