So a full day on NL50, the stakes are starting to get into real money now, I can see NL100 being considerable amounts of money, which will matter to me as a student. Didn't play that many hands, was going to have another session this evening but wasn't in the mood.

I've had a bit of a reality check over the last few days, I have university exams in 3 weeks and I haven't done a thing. I've decided not to drink or play poker till the end of my exams. I think I have quite an addictive personality and therefore can't really help myself, therefore I have withdrawn my entire bankroll to stop myself from playing. Of course I would love to play but my main goal at the moment is to pass my exams and with the distraction of poker I don't think this is possible.
After I finish I will have the whole summer to play so we will see how that goes, will probably re-deposit $1,750 so I have a nice healthy 35 buyins of NL50 bankroll. I have got to say its really nice cashing out over $1,800 seeing as I staarted with $250, pretty awesome imo. Hopefully there are good things to come.
So I won't be posting any updates till after my exams however will probably be hanging round the forums.

Last 10k hands were pretty good, recieved the bonus aswell so br went up loads. I just seemed to find so many fish willing to dumpt their money to me! ♦
I'm back in business. Exams are over, I'm back home, life is good!!
Gunna miss university but its good to see some friends from home too. So i've decided this summer that I can't just sit on my arse all day playing poker, playing PS3 and watching films so i've decided to get a summer job. It should be a good job for me as I like long hours and hard work as the money adds up quicker, it's putting up marquees for a company nearby. Hopefully I will meet some cool people, get a bit fitter, maybe get a tan and make some money for next years university.
I think if I spent all summer playing poker I would probably get very good but also really fat and lazy. The marquee job starts quite early in the morning (I think I have to be at the warehouse at 7am each morning) but this means that it finishes quite early as well, so should be able to get a few hours of poker in each night before I got to bed.
Bwin has had a bit of a shocker, I was really enjoying their site because it was really fishy and had great bonuses but they have updated the software to make it worse. There were three features I really wanted in their new software which were:
1. Resizeable tables - They did this but they have done it in a really bad way, you either have to have a massive box next to your table or hide it and then you cant see previous action.
2. Filters by limit - Havne't done this
3. 6 Max - still 5 max.
Therefore I have taken my money and put it on bet 365 as they are a new partner and seem to have some good promos on at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to do well there.
That is all for now, had a quick session earlier and was about $80 which was nice, hopefully I can keep it up.

Make a steady profit at NL50 and move up to NL100
Mget back to Gold status and ideally platinum
Clear the bet365 bonus
No 4th one just wanted to use the club

Awesome blog. I'm playing Sit n Gos myself right now, and I totally agree with you about them being too swingy. How much money did you start with when you started playing NL 6-max and at what stakes?
@VirtuaGod - hehe good stuff ♦ and yes exams were not too shabby.
@Computerized - I started off at NL10 BSS SH with about $250 I think, tbh it doesn't matter if you only have 10 or 20 stacks at NL10 because there is no lower stakes to play at. Just give it your best shot, my only two bits of advice to an absolute beginner to BSS SH is play tighter rather than looser, and try not to bluff too much.

As the title says ive been trying some heads up poker, started off at NL20 but the rake is awful(you can see on the graph when i moved to NL50 = swongs!). Its gone ok so far, I truely believe there is so much money to be made in HU poker, instead of playing 6 max or FR where you have to beat all the other players at the table to get the fishes money, instead in HU its just you and the fish.

As the title says, its all going pretty well, had another really helpful session with Snodre, I'm really starting to get the hang of HU, the great thing about HU is that if you think your opponent is better than you, you don't have to play them, this is one aspect of 6max and fr that you cant do.
