I prefer c-bet (half pot) on flop because BB' thinks your range is very wide so he's gonna call with a lot of weaker hands.

which weaker hands can he have to call a bet though? his pre range for cc 3b usually won't be weak as to include KQs, it will usually be like AK QQ AQ JJ TT sometimes KK AA and other pp, something like that.

i decided that this was a one street hand so i decided to just call one bet or go for a big bet on the river.
didn't see many worse hands to call and i didn't like the runout but he'd probably bet a hand like AK QQ otr, so i just thought that i had the best hand somehow and was like "well whatever".

They think your range is very wide because of what? My view is that people on the lower stakes more often overestimate than underestimate your handstrength. Especially when you 4-bet against 2 players they tend to give you a strong range.

I definitely prefer checking back the flop. They will call most pp's once so for that part of the range it doesn't matter whether you check back flop or bet flop but by checking back flop you can get value from their bluffs and they can improve their shit hands to weak-made hands.

On the river you always have the best hand so vbet is fine.

I do think that you give him too strong of a range Tomaloc. Imo a lot of weaker players do include hand such as kqs in their cc 3b range especially bvbvb on the lower stakes. Still not a huge fan of 4-betting there without reads but don't think it's a big mistake since you are in position, can often take down the pot with a c-bet and people won't 5-bet you light.

@89 hand, I would always bet river. Completely agree that you'll get a check behind very often.

i dunno, i think i see AK QQ very often when cc3b hands go to showdown but that's probably because they often just fold at some point (pre or post) when they don't have these hands.

98 hand i think it's either bet/bet/bet (probably better) or keep going for a huge c/r, protect my checking range on this kind of board. two streets of betting just doesn't do the hand justice
so yeah, it was definitely misplayed but all good in the end

how do you guys keep focused when playing?

i've noticed a trend in my last sessions:

It's likely you drew the graph after a long session because it contains a mistake. NSD should start at the origin :f_biggrin:.

On a serious note, I always had the same problem. Best and probably one of the only solutions is short breaks, just to clear your mind for a few minutes.

nowadays i'm just doing lots of small sessions, though of course each new beginning is slightly worse than the last

LOL, graph looks verry similar haha.

I use Tiltbreaker app, which forces me to take a 15 minutes break after each our of play.

Only disadvantage is that I lose my deepstack(s) when it shuts down my tables

I was actually talking with friends the other night about how I think gambling shouldn't be advertised (along with that 'payday loan' bullshit). Considering I play poker and make a living on Betfair they were left speechless. But I agree with his sentiments as well. Interesting read.
