Let me add my best wishes for the family, too. I think three sons is kinda like saying: "me big man, see? - you no mess, k?"

Nice1, champ.

YAY! That makes two of us wandering round this globe literally looking like this then: :f_biggrin:

To digress (and inevitably regress) to poker matters for a moment, I've just started shotting $1/$2 at around 475BB - just playing the worst tables atm and no more than two tables at a time.

So far, so swingy! Had a couple of tables running -70 to -104BB/100, had a couple of others running 40 to 95BB/100. Currently to the good over a very small sample. :f_love:

If I hit 450BB (which I've done once today already - before an epic one tabling of $.50/$1 SH for 54BB/100 over about 30mins whilst gas bagging with BDL) I'll switch back to the old plan. It feels nice playing back at base camp again - even if it is only off the back of a heater and some serious bonus whoring.

Even so, it feels almost like an accomplishment playing at this level once more, especially after being at $440 bucks two weeks into December. :f_cool: Low rake sites FTW!

Big time! Ballin' in the nose bleeds... er... nose itches?... er... not even on the face, tbh. :f_mad: But whatever it is, I'm ballin' there! :f_cool:

And I've got a good 100BB buffer before I have to think about downsizing again. :f_thumbsup:

I'm still being pretty picky - read "observing fundamentals" - on table/seat selecting, so in effect my BR allows me to prioritise $1/$2 SH tables over the FR, then $.50/$1 SH/FR. And two tabling max (or three tabling if I have only one decent $1/$2 SH table available).

Good poker news in a Waiboy post <3.

Keep it up man, take 1/2 down!

I know! Something is very wrong - in the nicest sense of the term. Hopefully variance continues it's holiday for the next week and rolls me for $2/$4. :f_p:

Sick heater continues - so too the dedicated hours of study. I don't think there is a strong correlation there unfortunately. Playing a low rake site with RB + FDB on the other hand makes a significant difference I'm sure. :f_love:

To put things into context, outside of $.50/$1 SH (in which I have a 3.3BB/100 WR) I'm running at better than 6.35BB/100 in all other formats played this month. All tiny samples of course and only a matter of time before it sorts itself out. Still, woof. :f_cool:

The coolest thing of all for me out of this heater is I've finally gone positive again for winnings from play over all formats on FTP. That is to say, if you subtract all bonuses and rb from my BR I have more than the $600 I deposited. After being down something like $300 in the middle of December (including the $100 dropped at NL10) this feels like more of an achievement than anything else._grin:

Played Rush Poker FLHE for the first time tonight (only $.50/$1 FR available 60 - 70 players in the pool). Just one tabled and stuck to ABC play. PT3 having insta HUD updates on players is really welcome and makes this slightly less lottery like. I think I'm gonna use this format at the beginning of sessions whilst waiting for my wait listed tables to open up.

I found my favourite player name in history, ever today on the Rush table. "Number4TheLarch". I may have to try for "HowNotToBeSeen" at my next new platform. :f_biggrin:

Anywhom, Rush really does feel like a video game to play - and quick folding rubbish and getting on with another hand instantly = WIN for me. :f_thumbsup:

:f_confused: out.

I'm in the midst of a golden run atm... low volume, hit everything BR increasing at massively unsustainable rate. :f_cool:

Add to that a second in the WSOP Titan World Challenge qualifying round last night (including a very unwell - ie sick - turn 2 outer 5 handed to add to this current heater legend) and things are going stupidly well.

I wonder if this is the same level of +ve variance I experienced when I first started playing through PS.com?

Anywhom, I have one day cricket and the Superbowl for my viewing pleasure today. Hotdogs and American beers (well, Mexican as the Missus had some warm v cold beer dilemmas).

:f_confused: out.

- 240BB * $10BB = _o:_cry:

Just repeat the FIGJAM mantra. She'll be right, mate. _thumbsup:

I'm only getting my variance due some karmic payback I think - can't think of any other reason.

gratz waiboy! good to hear ur slaying them fishes out there.
as for me, im getting creamed at Rush Poker. i think bec mainly FT hates me. I never win on that site.

rigged obv. :f_biggrin:

...DAMMIT! Knew I had forgotten something. :f_mad:

But seriously (the beginning of the end for Phil Collins IMO), me and bubs are buddies! :f_love:

As for Rush.. I kinda like it for FLHE - so far at least. The player pool isn't huge so it is sometimes Rush/Wait/Rush poker, not that it hurts a lot to be patient occassionally (HEAR THAT GEN Y'ers!!!). Some players go catatonic on it, some reach for the adrenaline shot, so I guess a pretty solid ABC game is probably going to provide some value (at least initially).

Of course, FTP  me in 2010 (so far at least) so I'm only going to say nice things - till it turns on me like the harsh mistress I dream about.. er... um.. I mean the harsh mistress it can sometimes be...

:f_mad:

Anywhom pfizz, from what I read you're on the verge of greatness!

crikey! wat is all this madness about??? nothing poker-wise i'm sure, since i apparently cant beat NL10 on Rush. i'm certainly on the verge of giving birth if that's wat you mean which is not exactly greatness but more of kicking and screaming and lots of blood. im very excited and terrified about it to be sure. best to keep it between ourselves (and your 1 million readers or so)

Just lurking through your blog reading the massive props your NL game is getting!

Well that sounds great. Hold on... what was that again? For a second there I could have sworn you said...

CRIKEY!

Oarsomest earnest congratulations to you!!! _cool:

Having witnessed three births I can honestly say you are definitely on the verge of greatness (as well as kicking, screaming, lots of blood)!!! Poker is about to become an even bigger sideline! At least next time you go AWOL from the forums I'll know you have a superb excuse. :f_biggrin:

Not breathing a word to anyone else btw - your secret is safe with me!
