I honestly dont think that's the problem... I am busy with school and lots of other stuff.
Anyway gonna bump my last post so that people won't miss it because i do want some more thoughts on it:
You know how sometimes you don't know if you should laugh or cry?
Well normally I would feel like that when I repeatedly get sucked out on time after time and even get freerolled several times in a few days. I also think that this would be normal, for someone who actually enjoys what he/she is doing.
The strange thig is that I just got freerolled on the very bubble of a tournament and there is no question about it, I didn't know weather to laugh or cry; I just laughed.
This really has to mean something. I just gotta figure out WHAT. If I'm starting to think poker is boring because I run like shit for months in a row, or if it is because I simply don't enjoy it anymore? Is it because I have been standing still for to long? Haven't progressed up any levels in a long time?
If it turns out I think poker is boring and therefor no longer react the same way to it, is that a good or a bad thing? I mean it's obviously both but which fact is the most important? That I no longer react to it thus being able to play longer and tilt way less, or that I think it's boring and perhaps end up being miserable doing it and probably never feel motivated to play?

Trust me getting into periods where poker is boring is so so standard. Ask TLN, ask anyone. But i promise you if you stop playing poker for some time you will miss it and come back with a new point of view. I often tend to see only the downside of poker when its the only thing im doing. But when i leave it for a while i realise how many opportunities and joy the game gives me and remembers me why i love it so much. I allways try to remember this when it seems kinda meaningless grinding it out on NL50 when i just played NL150 a little while ago.
So basically what i do is i remember this sentence from "Busto to robusto" (i made some of it up myself i believe): "Poker can be a cruel game from time to time and sometimes seems pointless to play it. But then i start thinking about what opportunities poker has given me"

Watched it allready. More of a schocking story but nothing that i can relate to that much. Andrew Robl's story is very relatable imo.

Actually the 2nd one is better than the first one. couldn't watch the first one full of it. I guess I can relate to the 2nd guy more.
Vonki the simple way of looking at it is: wining is fun....and losing... not so much. Not just poker any game that is.
When you get sucked out or coolered or play bad it doesn't matter, you get upset, angry and annoyed and those emotions are directly related to poker. So next time when you are about to play you are like meh i dont feel like playing its boring. Just a defense mechanism.
Also something i have noticed in my thought process while playing fewer tables. Stuff gets more personal. That fish sucked out on me and 3 hands later the other reg stacked him. Why do i always run so bad against fish or am i just as bad, bla bla?
I am talking about cash, tournaments make me go berserk.

I really wish it was that simple. This is how it USED to feel. Trust me I have been through enough times to tell the difference. The thing now, is that I DO feel like playing (not so much because it will be fun though but because it will make me money) and even a year ago, I could really feel like playing poker and that I had a fun time even when I was running bad. So I really don't think it's a matter of me running bad thus I feel it's boring.
I think it's more a matter of me no longer having the passion for poker that I used to have. I still have a passion for it, but I no longer enjoy the game itself. I enjoy what benefits the game brings me, like being able to travel the world, be my own boss, learn to develope patiance and selfawareness, meet new awesome friends all over the world... but not so much the game itself anymore, which used to be the case.
I think that those who have not yet experienced it have a hard time imagining what it's like. And perhaps you are right, perhaps I one day will think it's fun again. I do see things differently though.
I see it as a relationship. At first, I was soooo in love with poker and played endless hours. Just like people who are in love spend endless hours together. But as time passes, the love that they share for each other becomes different. Until eventually, they love each other but not the same way they used to. They won't be madly inlove anymore, they wont want to spend every waken second of every day with each other, they'll actually be happy to get some time off. They'll still love each other, just not... the same way.
That will probably not make sense to everyone either, but hopefully someone will understand what I'm ranting about ♦

Vaccuming the database, how important is it and what does it do?
I haven't done so since I installed anything on my laptop (few hundred k hands) and I heard it would take megalong time to do it... so, please enlighten me! ♦

I have the exact same question 
my understanding is it takes a long time but makes HEM run quicker.....could having a large database be the reason my computer is running slower and slower these days?
I did about a month ago around 103K took 30min roughly and noticed a huge speed improvement.

vonki i know exactly how u feel! in my case, i just played poker when i felt like it, and i played less and less until one day i just stopped. that was more than a year ago. but sometimes, things can happen which can re-ignite ur interest (in my case, visiting poker crew).
i really dont agree with losing=>boredom (maybe anger or frustration, but not really boredom). thats giving u too little credit imo.

I think i understand it pretty well.. I think that if you feel that you dont enjoy poker that much anymore, you should take a break from it - for a week or two. You'll start to miss poker a lot (i think) and you'll be eager to play as much as you did before.
Look at someone like Michael Schumacher - he was a Formula 1 driver for 15 years or so and then stopped racing. And, well, two years after his retirement, he's back, because he just missed racing so much.
Taking a break from each other works at any relationship - and you and Mr. Holdem should be no different.

well see the thing is though... I don't think that taking a break from poker will make me think its less boring when I come back (pehaps for a day or two), this is exactly the point. I mean I dont DISLIKE playing poker atm but I just dont think it's fun either.
Taking a break from poker sure would make me miss it, but not really the game itself. So I don't think this solves anything really.
I don't really mind playing whilst thinking it's boring, it's actually making me tilt alot less (since there are less emotions involved) and the main purpose for the last year or so has been making money anyway so I prioritate making money > having fun.
I do enjoy all the things that comes WITH poker so I really don't see why I would need to take a break. 
I know you made a good effort trying to help me writing that but it only proves that few people actually understand exactly what I mean by it ^^

Hehe, well I am in no need of help. I only wanted to discuss it and hear what other people though about it. Even if I don't consider it to be a real problem though it's always nice to hear other peoples inputs to maximize the value of the situation...
The last couple of days I have chosen to play very high variance games. MT SNG's and SSS. I just feel like taking easy decisions for now until I actually made a real decision about poker. That might take weeks or months, until then I am happy playing this
I have to say the variance is completely insane though. And I haven't seen nothing yet ♦ I am really curious as to how my SSS results actually look but I haven't checked it. I'm afraid that if I do it will effect my game and I do think I have a pretty decent and winning game in them atm. I run pretty shitty too though.
I've given alot of thought to Black Card and ironman on FTP, but I'm not quite sure yet. I mean it would be nice, but am I really gonna play on FTP again? In that case, what am I gonna play? SSS? BSS? It won't be possible getting it with the MT sngs so that means that option goes away... (no comments about "just play what u like the most/earn the most by and dont care about chasing BC/bonuses", I am not interested in hearing this because I have already thought about all this many times).
Got lots of thinking to do I suppose. Might need a sample from SSSing first before I can make up my mind anyway. Rush would definately be an alternative, even if I don't really enjoy playing it. A coachingdeal with GRK or something might be an option. Sooo much thinkiiing. ♦
