Where to play Short Deck Hold'em online
If the Triton Super High Roller Series has piqued your interest in this fast action version of No Limit, here is where you can find it online.
Short Deck Hold'em has been a popular feature in the high stakes games in Macau for a few years now, but it was only since last week that the wider poker world appears to have caught the bug, after Phil Ivey won his first event in three years in a Short Deck event, followed by Jason Koon taking down over $3.5 million in a Super High Roller version of the same format, both live on stream.
Short Deck Hold'em is the same as regular No Limit Hold'em but all cards 2-5 are removed from the deck. This makes for generally more action, as well as new hand rankings where three-of-a-kind beats a straight, and a flush beats a full house. You can read all about the strategic adjustments here.
You can play this exciting format exclusively online at iPoker, where it is known as Six Plus Hold'em. It is available at cash game stakes between $0.02/$0.04 all the way up to $0.50/$1.
