Barry Carter releases his 5th poker book
Endgame Poker Strategy, co-written with Dara O'Kearney, is the first poker book to take a really deep dive into the topic of ICM.
Today we are happy to announce that our editor Barry Carter has just released his 5th poker book, his 3rd with Unibet Pro and PokerStrategy contributor Dara O'Kearney.
Their previous books together concentrated on the niche formats of satellites and PKOs, but Endgame Poker Strategy: The ICM Book covers the most important strategy concept in all tournament formats - the Independent Chip Model (ICM).
The book takes a deep dive into how ICM influences every part of a poker tournament, including:
- How to change your ranges
- The bubble & final table play
- How to play short, medium and big stacks
- Laddering vs playing for the win
- Postflop
- Game selection, rebuy strategy and late registration
- Final table deals
"Our previous books covered the two extremes of ICM, satellites and PKOs, but most people do not realise how important ICM is in regular tournaments," Barry told us. Five books, still sucks at poker
This is our editor's 5th book. He previously wrote Poker Satellite Strategy and PKO Poker Strategy with Dara, prior to that he co-authored the best-selling Mental Game of Poker 1 & 2 with acclaimed mental game coach Jared Tendler.
"I've somehow managed to write five poker books despite being by my own admission a modest player," he continued.
