We asked the community to share their opinion on 888poker. What do you think of the software? Which limits do you play and how would you rate your opponents? What do you think about the promotions? As an example, we sum up two statements below.
NL6 Full-Ring is a strange limit on 888poker that I have never seen anywhere else. Therefor there is no NL4 or NL5. The skill level is slightly better than on NL2, but mostly there are just one to three open tables.
Up to now I have only used the 8$ Starting Capital-Promo. Other than that I have no experience with the Promo-Offers.
The opponents on my limit NL2 full-ring are as expected bad and passive. Raises will often be called by half of the table (around 30%-60% plrs/flop) and 3-bets will be overcalled frequently. Limp/call will be played pretty often. You can see all kinds of possible and impossible hands - draws will rarely be folded and your opponents can not adapt at all. Plenty of tables around.
NL6 Full-Ring: I have not played much yet. The level is hardly better than on NL2, but I don't have a lot of experience on that. There are just a few full-ring tables on NL6, sometimes just one. Short-handed looks better probably.
$1,10 Turbo DONs: The opponents are way too loose here. There is a lot of limping during the early stages as well as blind levels rise. Often chips are given away in marginal situations. In the push-or-fold stage you should watch your opponents: Some call off way too light (every ace is nuts), others fold everything. Despite the high rake DONs are easily beatable.
$1,20 Full-Ring-SnG: The level appears to be a little bit better than that on DONs and NL2. But also the SnGs are easily beatable because the opponents likewise limp a lot and go broke with draws and weak top pairs.
Bronze-Status-Freerolls: The usual donking game as you know it from freerolls. The opponents are loose and in calldown mode.
I can't tell a lot about the Promotions. Obviously, you can't compare them to the ones at PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker, but often there are nice special offers that should offer good incentives for micro stakes players.
