Patrik Antonius: Biggest online cash game pot
The biggest ever single cash game pot in online poker history was played between Finnish demigod Patrik Antonius and Swedish young gun Viktor Blom back in November, 2009. That month the pair locked horns in a titanic clash which is - to this day - responsible for nine of the ten biggest pots ever played on the virtual felt. The biggest of all was raked in by Antonius on November 21, and was worth $1,356,946.
Mark Newhouse: Back-to-back November Niner
An honourable mention has to go to "Action Dan" Harrington, who completed a similar feat in reaching back-to-back WSOP Main Event final tables in 2003 and '04, but when Mark Newhouse managed it in the November Nine era it was nothing short of miraculous. Ok, he finished 9th both times, but outlasting two fields of more than 6,000 players two years in a row - the odds of that were roughly 525,000:1 - is something that we'll surely never see again.
Dan Colman: Most recorded earnings in a year
It's fair to say that 2014 was a breakout year for Dan Colman career wise. During those 12 months, he managed to rake in an incredible $22,389,481 playing live poker tournaments - a figure that no one else has come remotely close to other than fellow One Drop winner Antonio Esfandiari. Given that any future One Drop winner would have to go and earn at least $5m on top of their victory, it's pretty darn unlikely that anyone will ever have a year quite like this one again.
Phil Hellmuth: Most WSOP bracelets
Love him or hate him, Phil Hellmuth's got some serious tournament game. The 50-year old self-proclaimed dodger of bullets has an unrivalled 13 WSOP bracelets, including two Main Event titles on different continents. Only Phil Ivey has a realistic shot at overtaking him in the rankings any time soon.
Barry Denson: Longest ever session
Most people associate this record with Phil Laak, but it actually belongs to ex-soldier and poker amateur Barry Denson. The Brit beat Laak's record of 115 hours set in 2010 by playing non-stop for 120 hours and 20 minutes in July, 2012 as part of a bid to raise funds for charity.
Martin Ardon: Fastest Supernova Elite
Dutch grinder Martin 'Quadchrazs'' Ardon became the fastest player ever to make the illustrious Supernova Elite status at PokerStars when he earned the necessary 1,000,000 VPPs in an incredible 52 days at the start of 2015. Brit Ryan 'MouldyOnions' Bell held the previous record having made Supernova Elite in 53 days back in 2013.
PokerStars: Biggest online tournament
225,000 people...That's more than the entire populations of Gibraltar, Greenland, and Andorra combined! Eventual winner 'SlavaPro' earned $25,000 for his time, as well as the prestige of having won the largest ever poker tournament.
