Attention: Daylight Saving Time Changes

Daylight saving times start in the US this Sunday, which means that those poker rooms that use Eastern Time (ET) will be switching their clocks forward one hour. This will be of particular interest to tournament players, for the change in start times.

PokerStrategists should note that Europe will be switching to Summer Time on Sunday, March 25.

Poker rooms using the Eastern Time (ET) will switch to Summer Time on Sunday, March 11. These poker rooms are:

PokerStars PokerStars
PartyPoker PartyPoker
Cake Poker Cake Poker
PokerStars WPT Poker

Let's say we have a tournament starting at 16:00 GMT. Here's how the starting time will change for ET and CET:

Tournament Time Time (ET) Time (GMT) Time (CET)
Before March 11 11:00 16:00 17:00
Between March 11 - March 25 12:00 16:00 17:00
After March 25 12:00 16:00 18:00
